Got a call from someone claiming to be Mike or Mark, but he had a pretty strong foreign accent. Said he was with some nuisance call blocking company. Totally sounded like a scam so I just blocked the number!

I just had a rather odd call from this number. After I answered and greeted them a couple of times, all I got in return was a robotic “goodbye.” It's quite puzzling, especially since I've got my number listed as ex directory. How on earth did they manage to get hold of it?

right from the beginning this call felt dodgy just by the way the bloke asked to talk to me. i told him quick that there was no need but still asked what he was after. he said he was from the national call registry and offered to stop nuisance calls! i found it hilarious and pointed out the irony of his own call, kept having a laugh at his questions, then he just hung up.

I received a total of four calls from this number today, each time from a chap named Charlie who spoke with an Indian lilt. He was persistently attempting to sell me some contraption that supposedly blocks calls. By the last call, I’d had enough, so I labelled him a scammer and told him to shove off!

Just like loads of others have said, some bloke with an Indian accent called claiming to be from the "national do not call register," offering to block unwanted calls for just £1.90 a month. It's a shame, but now any random call from someone with that accent feels dodgy to me, even though I never saw myself as the type to judge like that. I just told him "bye" and ended the call straight away.

Got a call out of the blue trying to sell me a way to stop other random calls. Found it so cheeky I just hung up, pretty funny how bold these tricks are.

I got a call from a guy with an accent who said he was calling from the national do not call list or something similar. He wanted around £1.90 each month for a call blocker service. After a bit I just said cheers and ended the call. I later checked online and found out these calls are scams where they try to charge you big amounts on your credit card down the line.

He said he was from some TPS service and mentioned I’d signed up with them because I’d been getting annoying calls. He asked if that was right, and I was a bit taken aback so I just said no. Today was a bit different; they claimed to be offering some sort of device to block unwanted calls. Honestly, I’m utterly fed up with this persistent nuisance. I’m ex-directory and registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so it’s quite frustrating to be harassed like this.

I've received quite a few missed calls from this number lately. Today, I finally picked up, and the chap on the other end claimed to be representing a firm that stops pesky sales calls from bothering my line. I mentioned that I’m already on the Telephone Preference Service and don’t get those nuisance calls. After that, he promptly hung up. It strikes me as yet another dodgy attempt, much like those relentless Microsoft scams I used to get.

I received a call from this number earlier today, but when I picked up, there was complete silence on the other end. After waiting a moment, an automated voice piped up with a quick ‘Goodbye’ before disconnecting.

It seems that other sites I've browsed suggest this might be a scam call, purporting to be from Microsoft, claiming they're attempting to rectify some issue with my computer. Quite dubious, if you ask me!

Received a call from this number claiming that there was a virus on my computer and wanted to know if I was aware of it. I felt a wave of suspicion right away, so I requested their contact number for me to verify their legitimacy. Instantly, the tone of the caller shifted, and he snapped back, “Oh, how do you think you’ll manage that?” I shot back, “Good point, I won’t be able to since you’re nothing but a scam artist!” Then, the line went silent! What a shocker! Stay sharp, everyone; these scammers are everywhere!
