Got a call from this number earlier today, the person on the other end had my name and warned me to press 1 or they’d send a warrant for my arrest over tax fraud. They rattled off some sort of case number, batch number, and warrant ID. They kept telling me not to cut them off. I put my phone on speaker just to see what would happen and the moment my husband came into the room and spoke, they immediately ended the call! Properly freaked me out for a bit!

I just got a call from this number claiming there’s a criminal case against me for tax fraud. They asked me to press option 1 and gave me a name, a badge number, case number, and a warrant ID. They said HMRC had sent me letters but they ‘bounced back’ so now there’s a warrant for my arrest and they’re freezing my bank accounts and assets. The caller then told me I had two choices: hang up and face arrest with a court hearing and lawyer, or settle instantly by paying over the phone through something called OOCR (Out of Court Resolution). Something felt off, so I told them I’d be recording the call because I wasn’t paying anything for a criminal case I hadn’t heard about before. Right after that, they abruptly ended the call. Afterwards, I looked up the number and found this site with others reporting the same call. Definitely a scam trying to frighten people into paying. Stay cautious everyone!

Get the t####er app on your phone, it’ll show stuff like “HMRC scam” or “PPI claim” when those annoying calls come through, then just hit the block button and you’re sorted. It’s free and works well at stopping those annoying telemarketers and scammy types ringing you all the time. Honestly saves you from getting proper wound up every few minutes by some total muppet who can’t be bothered to do honest work.

Classic scam alert. HMRC doesn't ever ring you like this. Whatever you do, don’t press 1 - that just confirms your number and they’ll sell it off for more spam calls, often from India. Just scroll down, tap BLOCK, and forget about it, simple as that. Or just don’t answer at all. If it’s important, they’ll leave a voicemail like any normal caller would.

Got a call from 03453003999 and it's definitely a dodgy one. Honestly, if an elderly or vulnerable person picked up, that could've ended badly. I actually pressed 1 to see what would happen, but immediately felt like this wasn't right. So, I reported it straight away to HMRC, the police, and BT because I’m sure there’s no way something like this should be permitted.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from the HMRC fraud team. They put me through to a bloke who had a weird accent. He wanted my name to “find my file,” but I told him, “You called me, you should already have that info.” Then he lost it and swore, telling me to just give him my bloody name, calling me an idiot.
