Just like a bunch of others, I got this call about some tax fraud warrant and that I’m gonna be arrested. I knew right away it was a load of rubbish - never done anything dodgy in my life. Had yet another call from this number today - it’s the second time in the last few months, even after I thought I’d blocked it! This time it’s an automated voice claiming to be from HMRC, and let me tell you, it’s obviously a scam. They’re instructing you to hit 1, and if you don’t comply or fail to connect, they threaten to issue a warrant for your arrest. Quite laughable, really. I’m not losing any sleep over it, especially since they still haven’t come knocking after the first time!

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from HMRC, saying I was under investigation for fraud. Funny thing is, I actually am sorting a tax dispute with HMRC right now. The dodgy robot voice kept threatening me to press 1 or else I’d have a warrant for arrest. What creeped me out was I’d just been checking my tax info on my phone this morning, so it made me realise how nothing’s safe or private these days with all this tech. Not daft enough to take the bait, even if HMRC does charitably dislike me!
