Just a heads up - HMRC never calls you, they always send letters. If you get a call sayin “press 1” from 0345 300 3911, it’s definitely a scam. Don’t fall for it!

Got a call from this number earlier today. It was one of those automated messages claiming HMRC was looking into me for fraud. They said if I didn’t press 1 or if I ended the call, they’d send a warrant to arrest me. I’m aware of this scam, so I did press 1, which connected me to a call centre abroad. When the bloke started talking, I yelled out how awful he was and asked how he could even live with himself. He just hung up straightaway.

Yeah, don’t hit 1, it’s all a con. Take a look at your phone bill and see if any cash’s been nicked. If you know someone who works for themselves or runs a business, give them a heads up too. Happy Christmas!

Got a call from this number again. I hit 1, but all I got was a beep and then it just hung up saying goodbye. Honestly, no idea what they wanted but I wouldn’t bother calling back or pressing 1. Pretty sure it’s a total scam.

Just a few mins ago I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent. He wanted to know my name and some other info. I ended up telling him my name was treesaregreen.

Got a call from this number today, there was a long silence before a man with an Indian accent finally spoke. He started asking for my info, but I told him he should have it already and asked why he’s supposedly coming to arrest me! He got really annoyed when I kept refusing to give anything, so I told him he was wasting my time and hung up. Then he called again from another number, something like 0300 200 3200. When I picked up he was shouting down the phone “why did you call me just now?” I just laughed and hung up. Since then, he’s tried ringing me about a dozen times.

These calls are total scams from India, they're definitely not from HMRC and they ain't gonna lock you up or anything. I just told them my name was "Ben Chode" and "Marta Chode" on another call, and you shoulda heard how confused they got! Turns out those names kinda sound like rude words in Hindi or something. Makes for a good laugh!

Got a call from a woman claiming to be with HMRC, sounded like it was from India. I just ended the call straight away. Don’t share any info, it’s a total scam. They threatened to involve the police and arrest us. When I pushed back a bit, they just disconnected on me.

I just got a call from this number where the person threatened me with arrest unless I pressed 11. I went ahead and pressed it, then a woman claiming to be an officer asked for my name. I told her she should already know my name since she called me, and then she just hung up. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

This morning I got a call from 03453003911. The man on the line had an Indian accent, so I asked where he was calling from. He said HMRC, but when I asked for my name, he refused to give it and sounded quite rude. I asked how I could be sure he wasn’t a scammer, and he told me to check the number myself. I said I couldn’t just Google it right then, and then he just hung up on me.
