They said they were from Tesco bank and wanted me to confirm my address, postcode, and date of birth. I paused the call and asked them to provide some info about my account, like part of the account number, before I gave them my DOB. They wouldn’t do it! It’s not like my DOB is super secret, but it’s still personal info, and since I couldn’t verify who they really were, I just hung up. If this was Tesco Bank, it’s really poor practice to ask for details without proving who they are first.

I reckon this number is dodgy. They’ve buzzed me loads on my mobile and landline, claiming to be Tesco Bank. They said they had to speak to me but wouldn’t say why unless I answered security questions. They refused to let me talk to a manager or give any proper details. When I rang Tesco Bank on the real helpline, they said that sounds fishy and said I shouldn’t trust the call as the bank wouldn’t need to get in touch for no reason. Feels like a scam trying to get into my bank account.

I received a call from this number, and they requested my name. When I inquired who was calling, the caller dodged the question, stating they couldn't disclose their name for "security" purposes. I pointed out that since they were the ones calling me, they ought to have an idea of who they were. To which they insisted I provide my number for security reasons or they'd terminate the call. I firmly told them to go ahead and hang up, which they did. Now, this number has been persistently ringing my phone every single day until half-past eight in the evening. Honestly, it’s quite unsettling and has left me so anxious that I’ve taken to ignoring my phone altogether. It’s absolutely unacceptable for anyone to feel intimidated within their own home-this kind of behaviour shouldn’t be tolerated at all.
