Phone number ☎️ 03335771999 👆 is reported as a persistent scam operation impersonating legitimate providers, notably PC Protect and falsely associating with ISPs like TalkTalk or BT. Callers use highly convincing tactics, often knowing personal details such as names, addresses, and partial bank information, to pressure recipients - particularly targeting vulnerable and elderly individuals - into providing full bank details under the guise of reducing existing payments or offering cheaper protection plans. Victims report unauthorised direct debits being set up, difficulty cancelling services, and aggressive follow-up calls. Genuine companies do not request full bank details unsolicited or over the phone. New visitors are strongly advised never to share sensitive information, verify independently with their service providers, monitor bank statements vigilantly, and report suspected fraud to Action Fraud or the police.

I can't believe it, but these individuals have somehow managed to set up a direct debit from my mother’s account for something called PC Protect Wiseguys, and she doesn’t even own a computer! They’re taking £14.97 each month. It's absolutely outrageous! Be cautious, everyone!

Got a call from 03335771999 claiming to be from BT offering cheaper phone maintenance. They somehow knew my number and even mentioned part of my bank sort code, which really worried me. Fingers crossed BT hasn’t leaked my info. The company sounds dodgy to me. Their email said Bournemouth, but I reckon they might be operating from elsewhere too.

Absolutely, they’re at it again with the same old nonsense about slashing prices on your computer security. They seemed to have knowledge of a password I’ve previously used. A chap named Sam from Bournemouth didn’t ask for any banking info but wanted my email to send over all the details. He mentioned it might take up to a day. Fast forward twenty hours with no sign of any email, and it's become clear that it was nothing but a scam. Take heed, as they do come across rather convincingly. Let’s hope nobody else falls into their trap!

Got a call from 03336771999, they even used extension 610. The caller somehow knew both mine and my wife's first names. They said I had a care plan for my PC that I was paying for. I didn’t share any info, but they did give that number when I asked. Then they wanted to talk to my wife, but I told them she wasn’t around.

Somebody called saying they were from PC Protect, saying they could lower my elderly dad’s phone care plan from £10 a month down to £8.99. But when they asked for his bank details like sort code and account number to set up the new direct debit, I immediately told him not to give anything out and stopped it right there.

Received a call asserting they were from PC Protect, attempting to upgrade my elderly dad's phone care plan to £8.99 monthly from his existing £10. Thankfully, I intervened when they requested his sort code and account details to set up a new direct debit. Total con artists, so do keep your wits about you!

So, the people who ring me up are from pc protect, also known as wiseguys. They're experts in computers and help fix issues or give you tips on computer stuff. I’ve been using their service for a good few years now. But watch out if someone calls claiming to be from talk talk or asks for your bank info before you’ve even agreed to any setup plan - that’s definitely a scam. When you actually call wiseguys, you get this recorded message saying “we are the wiseguy” or something like that.

I received a notification that my existing computer protection plan, which costs me a tenner a month, was being swapped out for a new offer at just £8.99! To go ahead, I had to set up a new direct debit, which meant they were asking for my banking details. The thing is, I realised I didn’t have that policy in place and thus had no info readily available!

My elderly father was recently targeted by these crooks who masqueraded as his internet provider. They spun a tale about a lucrative offer and managed to extract his bank account information under false pretenses. Astonishingly, they were well-versed in his internet account specifics, which made the ruse all the more convincing. I'm determined to report this to the appropriate authorities without delay: https://www.actionfraud.police.uk

I recently received a call from a different number, and a chap named Sam from Bournemouth was on the line. He seemed rather insistent and overzealous with his pitch. I hadn’t a clue about the company he represented, so I mentioned I’d like to verify their credentials first. This seemed to rub him the wrong way, as he became somewhat irate, tossed out this 033 number, and abruptly hung up on me. Quite rude, really!

I received a call from someone named Greg, claiming that they were reducing the payments on my PC and assorted items. It felt rather misleading, as they suggested they were the ones managing my PC plan, which is actually through PC Know How. When I pointed this out, the chap conceded that while PC Know How does handle it, they could lower my monthly payments, potentially allowing me to terminate their service. He then requested my bank sort code to facilitate the sending of some information with a 14-day cooling-off period. I replied that I could review the details without providing my sort code. He mentioned they would ring me back later once they had more information. Hopefully, this information proves useful to someone.

I received a call from them requesting my sort code, yet they didn't bother to ask for my account number. Funny enough, I just received some paperwork that has my account number printed on it, despite the fact that I hadn’t disclosed it in the first place. I've now made a trip to my bank to terminate the direct debit.

I received a rather suspicious call regarding broadband services, but here's the kicker: I don't even have a connection! It's my dad who's the lucky one in that regard. He answered the phone and they claimed they were offering to lower his broadband costs, but then they started asking for bank details. Thankfully, I intervened just in the nick of time, and we both decided to hang up. Since then, they've attempted to ring us a few more times, but it seems they've finally given up the ghost, so we took the precautionary step of blocking the number. Huge shoutout to those folks who've taken the time to share their experiences about this ‘company’ online - you've saved us from what could have been a right headache!

Could anyone assist me with an email address and physical address for this company? My partner foolishly signed up for this over a year ago. Despite numerous requests to terminate the service, they persistently withdraw funds from our bank account without warning. I’m completely at a loss and desperate for a solution. We’ve even consulted the bank, but unfortunately, they’ve indicated there’s little they can do to help. Any assistance would be immensely appreciated! Thanks in advance, Colleen.

Complete scam! They were solely after my bank information. What really unnerved me was how much they knew about my Sky account-everything except my bank details, funnily enough. I received a rather dubious call today from the number mentioned, Ext 842. A person named Alana informed me that my computer protection services were about to lapse and requested my sort code and account number. Regrettably, I succumbed to the pressure and provided the information, only to swiftly realise it was a clever ruse. I immediately contacted my bank to alert them about the scam. Subsequently, I rang the company back and gave them a piece of my mind, making it abundantly clear that I was onto their antics before ending the call. The audacity was astounding when they rang me back, claiming to be a legitimate establishment called Wiseguys. I won't even mention the names I had for them. It's astonishing to think this company has been operating in this manner for at least three years without facing any repercussions. Why is no action being taken against them?

I came across a series of unfamiliar transactions on my son's bank statements, which raised my suspicions further, given the numerous unsolicited debates he had been embroiled in. My son, who lives independently and faces challenges with his learning, was feeling quite overwhelmed by this issue. I've just received a phone call from this number, and the chap on the line introduced himself as Sam. He mentioned something about a direct debit linked to a PC protection plan, but I only shared a portion of my details with him. Absolutely a dodgy operation. They rang my dear aunt, who's 88, and sadly convinced her to share her banking info by claiming she had an existing account with them. Now there's a direct debit in place for £21 a month, and they've already taken one payment. I found out about this on Friday, so I’ll sort it out come Monday. Honestly, these individuals are the absolute scum of the earth.

Received a rather puzzling telephone call earlier today, claiming there was an issue with my payment. I mentioned to Dale that I've not received any documentation whatsoever, hence I won't be setting up a direct debit, especially since I’ve never subscribed to any PC protection plan-no idea where they’ve sourced their information from! Dale assured me he'd dispatch the necessary paperwork and that it should arrive in the next few days, between 3 to 5, if all goes to plan. Time will tell, I suppose. Could anyone shed some light on whether this could be a scam? Cheers!

I recently had a rather curious phone call from a chap named Russell, extension 303. He was exceedingly courteous, claiming that I was already subscribed to their service, and he had a delightful announcement: the fee would be reducing to £27 from August! However, he asked to verify my bank details, as he didn’t seem to have them accessible. I told him I couldn't provide that information either and promptly ended the call; I have to admit, my instincts were on high alert when someone starts asking for banking information. Today, I received a rather dubious call from a company claiming to be PC Protect, offering a protection plan for my computer at a mere £7.99 per month. They insisted it was a better deal compared to the £10 I currently fork out for my internet service provider. Naturally, I turned down their proposition and took a gander at their website. It turns out, their service solely covers PC protection-dealing with issues like sluggish performance stemming from viruses, adware, and malware. Nowhere did it indicate that this included an internet service, which is what my £10 monthly fee covers-ISP services alongside software protection. So, if you find yourself in a similar situation with this company, it would be wise to think twice before agreeing to anything, and do a little research on their offerings beforehand!

I received a call from this firm on the 12th of January, 2015, claiming they could improve my service and that my payments were excessive. When I inquired if they were Sky, the representative, SAM, confirmed they were. Consequently, I terminated my direct debit. Now, they continuously bombard me with calls insisting I owe £23.97, warning that the amount will increase if I fail to settle it. The chap mentioned he would arrange another direct debit for the 15th of February and proceed with cancelling my contract on the 16th. Is there a chance they will keep piling on extra charges?

This morning, I received a call from a number claiming to be associated with TalkTalk. They inquired about my broadband service, and when I confirmed that yes, I do use TalkTalk, they began to discuss lowering my payments for some kind of PC protection. When I expressed my confusion about this payment-given that I wasn’t aware I had any such service with TalkTalk-Adam, the chap on the line, abruptly hung up. When I tried returning the call, I was greeted by a recorded message saying, "Welcome to PC Protect," followed by an annoying long beep before the line went dead. I attempted to call back multiple times, but I encountered the same frustrating response. I've reported this number to TalkTalk, but their response has been rather lacklustre. I made it clear to the chap on the line that I owe them nothing, as they deceitfully posed as representatives from TalkTalk and reduced my package to £28.99. He then mentioned I should have received some written confirmation and been informed about the terms and conditions during the call, which “Stephen” on extension 032 completely neglected to mention. I really hope he reviews the original recording, as it should provide evidence that his colleague misled me during our conversation, failing to disclose anything regarding PC Protect at all.

Received another call from them this morning, making it the second time today. The first time they rang, they tried to pull a fast one to take £23.97 from my bank account, which I managed to put a stop to. Then, just fifteen minutes later, they rang back and asked for a Mr Gilchrist. I told them they had the wrong person and clarified that I’m Mr Paterson. Without any hesitation, they just hung up. Quite the cheek!

I received a rather dubious call from this number claiming to represent TalkTalk, suggesting they could lower my monthly bill. However, it turned out to be a complete con, as they had inexplicably set up a direct debit for £23.97 without my consent. When I attempted to contact them to cancel it, they denied everything and even tried to push some PC protection service on me. I promptly told them where to shove their so-called protection, which certainly made me feel more at ease!

I can relate completely! I had a similar experience with a bloke named Stephen from PC Protect, he was on extension 032. He was quite pushy about obtaining my account information. Thankfully, I didn’t provide him with any additional details.

I received a phone call yesterday from this number, claiming to be from Talk Talk, a company I'm in the process of parting ways with. In a moment of weakness, I foolishly shared my banking information with them. I've already contacted my bank and informed them of the situation, so fingers crossed they can prevent any unauthorised transactions from coming out of my account!

I find myself in total agreement, it was nothing but a pack of lies. One can only hope they find themselves facing legal consequences soon enough.

Received an unexpected call earlier today at precisely 12:39 on the 30th of June, 2014, from a chap who seemed to mention something about PC Protect. He claimed to have splendid news - that TalkTalk was set to reduce their fees and enhance their antivirus offerings for PCs. He provided a contact number, 0333 577 1999, and introduced himself as Spencer, instructing me to request extension 433. I chose to hang up as he kept addressing me by the surname of a different family member, which struck me as rather suspicious. If he were truly a representative from TalkTalk, he surely wouldn't have made such an error. The entire conversation felt rather fishy; after all, who genuinely offers improved services for a lower price? It appeared to me as if he was trying to entice me with a sweet deal to divert my attention from the actual motive behind the call. It seems that this is yet another instance involving the same individuals mentioned in similar posts. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

I received a call from this number earlier today. The person claimed to be representing TalkTalk, where I currently handle my phone services. He introduced himself as Stephen and mentioned that they were slashing the price of their Care Plan from £10 to £7.99. He assured me that they were offering a better level of coverage for a reduced rate. The chap even recited some of my details, which made me believe him, so I ended up confirming my direct debit information. However, I later did some digging and discovered that the company is actually known as PC Protect, which has no affiliation with TalkTalk whatsoever. Fortunately, I’m aware that I have a fortnight to cancel this agreement and, thanks to the Direct Debit guarantee, I’m eligible for a refund. I'll be ringing them shortly to find out how I can proceed with cancelling the direct debit. Just a heads-up for everyone to be extra cautious!

Absolutely, received a call from this number earlier today. When he pressed me to verify the name of my bank, I decided to give him the silent treatment for a bit before eventually ending the call. He kept ringing back, about ten times in quick succession! I got in touch with Talk Talk to clear things up, and they informed me that PC Protect isn't affiliated with them at all. Just a heads up, everyone! I genuinely worry about the older generation; these deceitful individuals could easily catch them off guard.

I received a rather dubious phone call from this number earlier today. The individual on the line claimed to represent TalkTalk, which is indeed my phone provider. He introduced himself as Spencer and mentioned that they were slashing the price of their Care Plan from £10 down to £7.99. He was pushing an upgraded level of coverage for a reduced fee. He even rattled off some personal details, which made me think he had legit information, prompting me to share my direct debit details. However, upon doing a quick search online afterwards, it turns out they are affiliated with a company called PC Protect-absolutely nothing to do with TalkTalk whatsoever! Thankfully, I know I have a fortnight to back out of this arrangement, and under the Direct Debit guarantee, I’m entitled to a refund if this has been set up under false pretenses. I’ll be giving them a bell tomorrow to sort this mess out. Just a heads up-stay vigilant with these sorts of calls!

I've just rung up my telecom provider, and they've confirmed that this number seems to be involved in scamming individuals.
