Phone number ☎️ 03335771999 👆 is reported as a persistent scam operation impersonating legitimate providers, notably PC Protect and falsely associating with ISPs like TalkTalk or BT. Callers use highly convincing tactics, often knowing personal details such as names, addresses, and partial bank information, to pressure recipients - particularly targeting vulnerable and elderly individuals - into providing full bank details under the guise of reducing existing payments or offering cheaper protection plans. Victims report unauthorised direct debits being set up, difficulty cancelling services, and aggressive follow-up calls. Genuine companies do not request full bank details unsolicited or over the phone. New visitors are strongly advised never to share sensitive information, verify independently with their service providers, monitor bank statements vigilantly, and report suspected fraud to Action Fraud or the police.

I found out they managed to get a direct debit going from my mum’s bank account for some PC Protect Wiseguys thing, and she doesn’t even have a computer! They’re charging her £14.97 every month. Seriously, be careful with these lot.

Got a call from 03335771999 claiming to be from BT offering cheaper phone maintenance. They somehow knew my number and even mentioned part of my bank sort code, which really worried me. Fingers crossed BT hasn’t leaked my info. The company sounds dodgy to me. Their email said Bournemouth, but I reckon they might be operating from elsewhere too.

They're definitely still doing the same old routine, claiming your antivirus is about to expire and offering a discount. Oddly enough, they mentioned a password I’ve used before. A bloke called Sam from Bournemouth didn’t ask for my card info but did want my email so he could send details. He said it might take up to a day. Well, almost a full day later, still no email, and I’m pretty sure it’s a total scam. Just a heads up, they seem really convincing. Hopefully no one else falls for it.

Got a call from 03336771999, they even used extension 610. The caller somehow knew both mine and my wife's first names. They said I had a care plan for my PC that I was paying for. I didn’t share any info, but they did give that number when I asked. Then they wanted to talk to my wife, but I told them she wasn’t around.

Somebody called saying they were from PC Protect, saying they could lower my elderly dad’s phone care plan from £10 a month down to £8.99. But when they asked for his bank details like sort code and account number to set up the new direct debit, I immediately told him not to give anything out and stopped it right there.

So someone rang up saying they were from PC Protect and offered to "improve" my old dad’s phone care plan, dropping his current £10 a month to £8.99 monthly. It sounded fishy, especially when they asked for his sort code and bank details to set up a new direct debit. I quickly told him to stop talking. Honestly, total scammers trying to trick him - watch out for this kind of thing!

So, the people who ring me up are from pc protect, also known as wiseguys. They're experts in computers and help fix issues or give you tips on computer stuff. I’ve been using their service for a good few years now. But watch out if someone calls claiming to be from talk talk or asks for your bank info before you’ve even agreed to any setup plan - that’s definitely a scam. When you actually call wiseguys, you get this recorded message saying “we are the wiseguy” or something like that.

They were trying to get me to switch my "current pc protection" that costs £10 a month to a "special new offer" for £8.99. To do this, they said I’d have to set up a new direct debit and asked for my bank info. Problem is, I don't actually have that protection, so I didn’t have any of my bank details ready!

My elderly dad got a call from someone pretending to be from his internet company, claiming they had a cheaper plan for him. They already had his internet info, so he thought it was legit. Then they somehow tricked him into handing over his bank info to "finalise" the offer. I’m definitely going to report these scammers to:

I just got a call from a different number, someone named Sam claiming he's from Bournemouth. The bloke was really aggressive and kept pushing me. I got a call from Greg who was quite soothing, saying they could reduce my monthly payments for my PC and some other stuff. They made it sound like they were the ones handling my PC plan, but it’s actually through PC Know How. When I mentioned this, he claimed they do manage it and offered a lower monthly rate so I could cancel the other plan. He then asked for my bank sort code to send over some info with a 14-day cooling off period. I told him I’d like to see the details first, without giving out my sort code. They said they’d ring me back once they’ve got more info. Hopefully this is useful to someone.

Got a ring about broadband the other day, even though I don’t have it, my dad does. He answered and they started saying they could lower his broadband price, asking for bank info. Luckily, I jumped in and told him not to give anything and we ended the call. They kept ringing a few more times but eventually stopped, so we just blocked the number. Big thanks to everyone who shared their experiences with this ‘company’ - really helped us avoid a right hassle.

This morning I got a call from someone named Stephen, extension 032, claiming to be from pc protect. He said they’d be lowering the price of my Sky protection plan, but told me to cancel my existing direct debit and give him my bank sort code and account number so he could set up a new one. He also made it sound like the number 03335771999 was my new account number and suggested that his company was taking over from my current provider. He assured me that after I confirmed my details, they’d send me everything in writing and mentioned a 14 day cooling-off period. I questioned a few things and told him I’d check with my existing provider. Stephen offered to call back in 30 minutes but never did. Lucky I didn’t share any bank info because after my provider suggested I look them up online, I found out this pc protect lot seem like scammers and there’s no way they’re taking over my provider.

Does anyone have an email or a postal address for these people? My other half signed up for it over a year ago, and now they keep pulling money from our account without warning. We've asked so many times for it to be stopped, but it just carries on. I'm so fed up and don’t know where else to turn. Even the bank said they can't help us with this. Would really appreciate some help here. Thanks, Colleen.

So last week I got a call about a cheaper PC protection plan, and being a bit distracted and daft, I ended up giving them my bank details without really thinking. Later on, I googled the company and found plenty of warnings that it might be a scam, so I quickly contacted my bank to stop any direct debits from going through. Then today I wrote them an email saying I wanted to cancel after getting their letter about the plan. Not long after, someone called me (I think his name was Sam Young) asking why I wanted to cancel. He then tried to persuade me to try a 3-month free trial, but I kept refusing. After about 15 minutes of back and forth, he finally agreed to cancel the plan. Needless to say, I’ll be watching my bank statements carefully to make sure no sneaky payments go out.

Today I got a call from the number above, extension 842, some woman named Alana said my computer’s protection was about to expire and asked for my sort code and bank details. I stupidly gave it to her, but soon worked out it was a con. I rang my bank immediately to report the fraud. Then I called the company back and gave them a piece of my mind, telling them I knew what they were up to before slamming down. They cheekily rang me right back, claiming to be a legit company called Wiseguys. I won’t repeat what I called them. This lot have been running this scam for years, why is no one stopping them?

This morning, I got a call from someone named Alana claiming to be from PC Protect. She said they could lower the £10 monthly fee I supposedly pay for my PC protection through BT. I had no idea I was even signed up for this, so I told her to call back on Thursday after I’d had a chance to check it out. She asked for my sort code, which I gave, then wanted my bank account number. Oddly, she already had my address. She said they’d send paperwork once they had my account details to set up a monthly payment. The number I called had an extension for Alana. When I refused to give my account number, she put me through to Ian who repeated the same sales pitch, even comparing sharing your account number to writing a cheque. But cheques don't authorise direct debits. As soon as Ian realised I wasn’t cooperating, the call abruptly ended. I’m not sure if this was a scam or just dodgy upselling, but I strongly advise never giving sensitive info over the phone.

I spotted loads of unknown charges on my son's bank statements, some way more direct than usual. He lives independently but has learning difficulties and disabilities. This number just rang me up claiming I had a direct debit with them - a bloke called Sam said it was for a PC cash plan or summat. I only gave 'em a few bits of my info though. Surely a scam! They rang my 88 year old Aunt and, sadly, she ended up sharing her bank info because they claimed she already had an account with them. They've set up a direct debit for £21 a month and one payment has already gone through. I only found out about it last Friday, so I'll sort it out first thing Monday. Honestly, these people are just the worst.

Today I got a call from someone named Dale about an issue with my payment. I told him I hadn’t received any documents, so my direct debit isn’t going to be set up since I’ve never signed up for any PC protect plan. Honestly, no clue where they pulled my details from. I got a call not long ago from someone called Russell on the extension 303. He was really polite, telling me I was already using their service and that the cost would be dropping to £27 starting in August. He asked me to verify my bank details since he claimed he didn’t have them. I told him I didn’t have my details ready either, and then I just ended the call because asking for bank info always rings alarm bells for me.
It’s easy to see how folks might fall for it though, considering how convincing Russells like that can sound.

Today I got a phone call from a company called PC Protect, they were trying to sell me a PC protection plan for £7.99 a month, saying it was cheaper than the £10 monthly fee I pay my ISP. I said no thanks and later looked up their site. Turns out it’s just a plan to shield your computer from viruses, malware, and stuff that can slow it down. It doesn’t include any internet service like my current £10 plan, which bundles ISP and security software. So, if this lot ring you up, don’t rush into anything - have a proper look at their website before deciding.

So, back on 12th Jan 2015, this firm called me claiming they could give me a cheaper deal and said I’d been overcharged. When I asked if it was Sky, the bloke, Sam, assured me it was. I ended up cancelling my direct debit. Now, they’re constantly ringing up saying I owe them £23.97 and warning the amount will increase if I don’t pay. The guy mentioned setting up a new direct debit for the 15th of Feb, then cancelling my contract the day after on the 16th. But I’m wondering, will they keep piling on charges after that?

I said yes, I have TalkTalk broadband, and then they claimed they’d lower my payments for some PC protection service. I told the guy, called Adam, that I wasn’t aware I was paying for any PC protection with them and asked him to clarify, but he just hung up. When I tried calling back, all I got was a message saying "welcome to PC Protect" followed by a long beep before the line went dead. Tried calling a few more times, but it was the same every time. Had a go at it yesterday. Lucky my missus didn’t know any of my bank info since I’ve only just switched over to Talk Talk for internet and phone.

I’ve been through the same thing. I ended up cancelling the direct debit and even reported the whole thing to Action Fraud. They rang me back saying I still had an unpaid payment, but I told them straight up I never signed up to their service and didn’t want anything to do with it.

This morning I got another call from PC Protect claiming I owed £23.97 which they supposedly tried to take from my bank account on Tuesday. I had already stopped and cancelled the direct debit they set up without my permission. I told the guy on the phone I didn’t owe them a penny because they were pretending to be from TalkTalk and had reduced my package to £28.99 - which is a lie. He said I should’ve had written confirmation and that the terms and conditions would've been explained on the phone, but "Stephen" on ext 032 never mentioned any of that to me. The bloke said he'd review the original call, so hopefully he does because it'll show his staff member was being dishonest and never once brought up PC Protect.

They rang me two times earlier today. The first call was about trying to withdraw £23.97 from my bank - I put a stop to that straight away. Then they called back shortly after and asked for someone called Mr Gilchrist. I told them I was Mr Paterson and reminded them I already spoke to them 15 minutes before. After that, they just ended the call.

This number rang me claiming to be from TalkTalk and said they’d lower my bill. Total con job, they actually set up a direct debit to take £23.97. When I called back to cancel it, they acted like it wasn’t happening and still tried to push their PC protection plan on me. I just told them exactly where they could stick their protection and felt a lot better after that.

I had a call from someone saying he was Stephen from PC Protect, ringing from extension 032. He was pretty pushy, claiming he already had my account info. I didn’t hand over any more info though.

Yesterday this number rang me up, claiming to be from Talk Talk - which is odd coz I’m just about to leave them. I ended up giving them my bank info by mistake, but I’ve already told my bank about it. Fingers crossed they’ll sort it out and stop any dodgy withdrawals from my account.

Totally agree, everything they said was pure rubbish. Would be great to see them get hauled into court one day.

Got a phone call today at about 12:39pm on 30 June 2014 from some guy who mentioned something about PC Protect. He was saying that TalkTalk were cutting their prices and offering better antivirus checks for PCs. He gave me a number, 0333 577 1999, said his name was Spencer and that i should ask for extension 433 if i called back. But he kept getting my surname wrong - calling me by another family member’s name. If he really worked for TalkTalk, that wouldn’t happen. It all felt a bit fishy, like they were trying to lull me in with promises of more for less which seems rare these days. Probably just a trick to distract from the real purpose of the call. Sounds like the same scammer people have reported here. BE WARNED, don’t fall for it!!!

I got a call from this number earlier today. The bloke claimed he was from TalkTalk, which is who I have my phone service with. He introduced himself as Stephen and said they were lowering the price of the Care Plan from £10 down to £7.99. Apparently, I’d get better coverage for less money. He asked me to confirm my details he had on file, which I did, and then I agreed to the direct debit. Later on, I looked them up online and found out they're actually a company called PC Protect, nothing to do with TalkTalk at all. I’m planning on cancelling since I know I’ve got 14 days to back out, and under the Direct Debit guarantee, I should get my money back. I’ll ring them and ask how to stop the direct debit. Just watch out for this lot, they’re not what they seem!

Yeah, got a call from him today. When he wanted me to say the bank’s name, I just kept quiet for a bit and then ended the call. After that, he rang me like 10 times in a row. I called Talk Talk to check and turns out PC Protect isn’t connected to them at all. Watch out everyone!! Honestly, it’s heartbreaking to think older people might fall for these dodgy scammers.

Got a phone call today from this number claiming to be from TalkTalk, which is who I get my calls through. The man, who said his name was Spencer, told me they were cutting down the price of their Care Plan from £10 to £7.99, with better cover included. He even confirmed the personal details he said they had on file before I gave him my direct debit details. Later, I looked it up and it turns out this is a company called PC Protect, nothing to do with TalkTalk at all. I’m aware I have 14 days to cancel this and the Direct Debit guarantee should protect me if this is some sort of scam. Planning to ring them tomorrow to sort it out. Just watch out for this one!
