This number is definitely a dodgy one! I had a call from a bloke claiming to be Philip, part of some Nightfox scam operation. I'm warning you-don’t hand over any cash in advance. A mate of mine fell victim to their tricks, so take heed. I’ve blocked the number immediately! Stay vigilant!

Vanguard Partners ripped me off for £3,800. On top of that, a debt they claimed they’d help me recover for £50k is now looking hopeless because the person who owes me that cash has closed down their business. How is Paul Donnelly still able to fool so many people? They take advantage of the hope people have to get their money back, making big promises, then just charge court fees and do absolutely nothing. Paul Donnelly, you should seriously be ashamed. I hope karma catches up with you, whether it’s in the form of jail or something worse.

I got ripped off by Vanguard Partners for £3,800. On top of that, a £50k debt they claimed they’d recover seems hopeless now because the guy who owes me has shut down his business. Seems like this is a Tax help number. From checking comments here going back to 2017, it appears it was linked to Vanguard, a debt collecting firm based in Liverpool. But it definitely isn’t Ayom, NFox Inv, or Vanguard anymore. I just rang it and the person said they’re from some tax company.

0161 9337273 rang me, said it was Nightfox Investigations & Debt Recovery Ltd from Manchester. A mate of mine used this firm and came out really disappointed. Wish there was a way to shut down companies like this! They treat their clients disgracefully and just give empty promises about getting debts sorted. I can't figure out where those good reviews come from with so many complaints against them - feels like they're probably fake reviews written by the company themselves. Why hasn’t anyone gone legal on them yet?

This definately isnt a legit debt collection agency, its actually a HMRC scam call like shown in the video linked below. Seems like the scam started in Liverpool with different debt recovery firms but now its turned into some kinda complicated tax scam. I checked out this phone number and it’s definitely not Nightfox Investigations. It actually belongs to a different firm in Liverpool called Caledonian/Vanguard. When I rang it back, some weird Tax Assist person picked up. I’d saved this number from when I dealt with Vanguard back in 2018 - that’s where it’s from originally.

Don’t trust Nightfox Investigations and Debt Recovery Ltd. I handed over £10,000 plus VAT to try and track down a dodgy debtor, just like many others here, and ended up getting scammed. Honestly, they’re worse than the debtors themselves. Threats are their main tactic, and when I asked what I actually got for my money, all I got was abuse and more threats. Not bothered though, I’m happy to see how they explain themselves in Court.

Completely agree! Nightfox Investigations act like bullies even towards their own customers! Who on earth does that in a professional setting?? Threatening your own clients?? I actually got a phone call where I was threatened and I recorded it. I know it might not stand up in court, but it's definitely been handed over to the police! I’m also thinking about making a legal claim. Wouldn’t it be great if we all joined forces and showed these lot what for??

That's seriously put me off going with them now. Really grateful this info is shared so I don't end up throwing my cash away. Back in 2018, Vanguard copied Nightfox's website and started using this phone number for outgoing calls. This number and Vanguard have no connection whatsoever with Nightfox. Someone put a scraper on the Nightfox site, but we got it taken down along with the fake site. If you’ve been affected by this scam, please get in touch with David Black over at Nightfox right away.

Hi all - Just wanted to share my experience from Nightfox. Back in 2019 we found out some company had 'scraped' our website and created a copycat site. We got that fake site taken down eventually but learned it was done by a firm named Vanguard. Seems they used this outbound number (now shows up as ‘The Tax Office’) to ring loads of businesses around Cheshire. THEY CLAIM TO BE IN EDINBURGH BUT IT’S JUST A FAKE ADDRESS - THEY’RE REALLY OPERATING OUT OF LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE.

Vanguard Partners scammed me out of £900, reported it to the police and fraud team but no one seems to care. I think the guy running it is called Paul Donnelly - he's been pulling this for years and I reckon he’s got millions stashed offshore. My lawyer says it’s straight up fraud and deception, total con artist. How is it these scammers can just carry on when they’ve got their address? If we nicked a Mars bar from a shop, we’d be in trouble. It’s just not right.
