About four years back, just after I got a new phone from EE, I began receiving calls and texts meant for a completely different person. Stuff even escalated to the point where I got a threatening letter claiming I owed money and they were going to sue me. I contacted them straight away, explained I don’t use credit and that they had the wrong person. They sent me a letter afterwards saying the issue was resolved and I wouldn’t be bothered again. I kept that letter, but annoyingly, the calls started up again roughly seven months ago. Now I just block every call from them.

For months now, I've been getting nonstop calls from some scammers hassling me over a debt that’s not even mine. Apparently, it’s for a person I’ve never met, who must have used my number before and seemed pretty dodgy. These people are awful and it’s really tricky trying to reach them online because they want my personal details before anything else. It’s ridiculous that even after reporting them, nothing’s changed. They seriously need to be looked into.

Got a dodgy text supposedly from Lowells but it was for some Asian name, not me, I’m Smith. Hilarious. Then this number kept ringing but I never picked up. Thankfully, my phone lets me block unknown callers, so these spammy fraudsters can’t get through. They’re proper annoying. Some folks are clever enough not to answer or call back, which is the best way to avoid these scams. Loads of these scammers are calling from overseas trying to con you out of money, so just ignore them.

I've been getting calls and texts for ages now from a man with an Asian accent wanting to talk to a David Gray. I have no idea who this David Gray is. When I told the caller that I wasn't the person he was trying to reach, he asked for my number so he could take it off his contact list.
