This firm pretends to be your insurance provider if you look them up online. They aren’t the real deal, just trying to manage your claim to benefit themselves. It’s a complete joke. I ended up getting caught out by them, so seriously, be very cautious and always use the phone number from your genuine insurance documents or official website - double check that the number is definitely correct before calling.

I reckon it’s probably some sort of lead gen firm for financial advisers. Once you show any interest, they just flog your details to the advisers. Honestly, my cat’s got more clue about pensions than these lot. I can’t figure why the government hasn’t made this sort of thing illegal yet. Who’s really gaining from it? How does it make anyone’s life better? I'd seriously put them all behind bars and make ‘em deal with their own annoying phone leads for a change.

They called me twice within 10 minutes, just like others have mentioned, but oddly enough they knew my name and some details. Since I’m ex military, I told them my pension is sorted and nothing can be altered, then they just ended the call. I reckon it’s a scam trying to get you to check your pension with them and shift your money into some risky scheme they’re running. Watch out!

Just to update my earlier comment, the website is www.thepensionclinic[###], and it lists The Pension Clinic Limited with the registration number 09460747, so it’s a fairly new business. If you show any interest, your info gets forwarded to a company registered with the Financial Conduct Authority. The calls themselves aren’t harmful, but I find them quite annoying since they use my personal info. I’m currently looking into which company gave my details to the Clinic.

Got a call on an old mobile number I haven’t used for about 5 or 6 years (my mum's got it now and handed the phone to me). Straight away I thought it was dodgy. A woman came on the line saying "I'm calling from the Pension Clinic, and you're eligible for a pension review." I told her "No thanks, I'm not interested" and she replied, "Can I ask why? Over 85% of pensions in the UK are underperforming." I said "Fair enough, but I'm happy with what I've got," then she just said "Alright, cheers" and hung up. Proper annoying cos loads of folks might actually get caught out by these scams.

Turns out these folks are based in Horsforth, close to Leeds. Pension Clinic (UK) Ltd was launched by them just this February (2015). There’s three blokes running it, all with names you’d struggle to say right. Checked out their record and they’ve been directors on tons of companies it seems. Honestly, I wouldn't put my faith in them for anything at all.

I'm so sick of these calls, it's unreal. Why can't they get it that we just don't wanna chat with them?! I got a call right as I was typing this out, told the person what I was up to, and he goes "That's fine." So I said, "Cheers, now just leave me be!" and slammed the phone down!
