I usually don’t pick up if I don’t know the number. This one was different though, caught me off guard. We’ve got our number registered with the telephone preference service, so the calls have definitely dropped, just never gone completely. The stuff people are saying above doesn’t really shock me at all.

I received a call today just after 1 in the afternoon. The woman on the line jumped right in, inquiring, "Is this a business line?" It certainly is, but when I sought clarification on who was calling, she had the audacity to label me as unprofessional. Quite baffling, to say the least!

I've been getting loads of calls from this number that claims to be from a big telecom company I actually use. But when I ring up my actual provider, they say there's no sign they made any calls to me from that number. Seems like a total scam or something fishy going on.

I got a call from this outfit today, but I chose not to pick up since I was certain it was a dodgy scam and they were using a pricey number. I’ve now added them to my block list! 😊

There was this woman speaking with a really thick Indian accent, but I genuinely couldn’t make out what she was saying at all. Ended up just cutting the call off.

They rang my landline but I wasn’t able to pick up, as soon as the answerphone kicked in they just went quiet and hung up without leaving any kind of message.

Such a bother! It seems there's barely any privacy left these days. How on earth do they acquire these phone numbers? I reckon I might just switch to a premium-rate line instead!

I just had a rather irritating call from someone trying to peddle energy services. My number is listed in the wx directory, and I’m on the TPS register, which makes this all the more frustrating. To add to my woes, I’ve been getting persistent calls from 0845862045 as well! It's becoming quite the nuisance!

On the 13th of August 2015, at about 3:30pm, I got a call on my landline from a number I didn’t know. They never left anything on the answerphone. I’ve never heard of Fisher Investments UK before, nor have I ever asked them to ring me.

This number’s called me on and off at different times, but every time I pick up, they hang up as soon as my answerphone starts. Not sure who they are exactly.

Got a call from 03333441405 but it didn't actually ring on my end. I use BT Call Guardian and it blocks it without making a noise. Still, the number shows up in my recent calls list even though they never say anything. Pretty odd.

Got a call out of the blue, they claimed it wasn’t a sales pitch but wanted to do some kind of energy check. I just put the phone down straight away. Don’t want to be disturbed by these lot when I’m busy with work.

I received a voicemail from this number stating they’d get in touch again in three days. They mentioned that if I wished to stop their incessant calls, I’d need to fork out some cash for them to remove my details from their list. I've been on the Telephone Preference Service since its inception, but it seems that doesn't deter these persistent pests!

Received a phone call today, Saturday, around one o'clock in the afternoon. I happened to be out at the time, but I found out they had rung me by using the 1471 service. I’ve been registered with the Telephone Preference Service for ages, so I’m quite puzzled as to how they obtained my number.

I returned the call to this number, and a recorded voice instructed me that if I was calling from the number they reached out to, I should press one if I wished to opt out of future communications. I wouldn’t typically go down this route, but they’ve been bothering my elderly mother at ridiculous hours, and at 85, she certainly doesn’t need that stress.

I’m so over these cold calls, honestly. If I was interested in whatever they’re trying to sell, I’d have no trouble looking it up on my own.

This afternoon at precisely 12:53, I received a call from this number just as I was getting a callback from my neighbour. It’s rather peculiar how some firms seem to have unfettered access to my phone line. I’ve had a stern chat with BT, yet they don’t appear to be taking my issues seriously at all. It feels as if someone is hijacking my line, reminiscent of the old days when folks had to share a line. Every time I pick up the receiver to make a call, there's someone else chattering away, and I have to fiddle with the handset just to regain access. At this point, I’m seriously considering asking BT to assign me a new number; otherwise, it might just be goodbye and good riddance to BT!

Firstly, I’m curious about where these callers source the names of individuals they contact. Secondly, why do they completely overlook the need to verify against the Telephone Preference Service? It’s quite baffling, isn’t it?

I've been inundated with a staggering seven calls a day from this number for weeks on end! They keep pestering me with questions and it always leads back to either solar panels or misselling of payment protection insurance. It's absolutely ridiculous! We're fed up with these incessant interruptions, especially as we have poorly parents that need our attention. What's more baffling is that they refer to us by completely unfamiliar names. If they're contacting us, shouldn't they at least address us correctly? It's all rather peculiar, to say the least!

Their registered office is located at the Scottish Tax Bureau, 94 Hope Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 6PH, and they’re officially listed under the company number SC473983. Yet another dodgy energy firm has taken to calling us over and over for what feels like an eternity. I've already blocked at least five separate numbers linked to these energy con artists! It’s quite ridiculous how persistent they are.

I've had a couple of calls from these folks today, both times they wanted to chat with the homeowner. I mentioned that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service and asked them to take my number off their list. They then had the cheek to say it wasn’t a marketing call, but rather an “information” call, which apparently makes it exempt from the TPS! I pressed for details on the so-called information and was met with a pitch about solar panels! Unless you're keen on purchasing some, best to ignore these calls!
