03333381062 called me but I didn’t pick up as I didn’t know the number. I saw a recent post from the phone provider THREE saying these calls are from scammers in India. THREE says they’re cooperating with the police to stop these fraudsters.

Got a call from some mobile & broadband debt collectors the other day. Some folks say it’s a scam cause of the Indian accent, but honestly, just chill - they only ring if you actually owe something. Not everyone’s out to trick you, you know.

Hi, I’m with THREE. We’ve had loads of complaints about this number but it’s NOT from us. It’s actually a scam call centre based in India. Please don’t pick up and just block the number. To be clear, this isn’t linked to us at all, so please stop reaching out to us about it. We’ve already reported the issue to the proper authorities here and in India. The people saying they’re from THREE are just scammers too. Sorry we can’t help more with this.

The other day, I picked up the phone only for the caller to hang up straight away. It’s quite possible they were just verifying if this number is genuine. I wouldn't be surprised if they attempt to ring me again now that I've actually answered. Usually, I steer clear of unknown numbers, but I was anticipating an international call and, in my haste, I answered without even waiting for the screen to light up. Having gone through the responses here, I certainly shan't be doing that again any time soon!

Said they were from 3 but dropped the call when I asked some questions.

They claimed to be calling for Three, saying I owed money. I told them to wait while I checked my account as I always pay by direct debit. I logged in and saw everything was fully paid up to date. I told him this, but he said their system might not be updated yet. I pointed out the bill was taken from my bank on the 2nd, exact amount. Then he just cut the call!

Said they were from 3 mobile debt collection but it’s just a con artist trying to scam you. If you’re not sure if a call or text is real, always look up the company yourself and get in touch using a number or email from their official site. Don’t trust anything that’s linked in the message you got. And seriously, never share your full password with anyone!

Saw the number pop up, they rang me four times today, answered twice on my mobile and twice on my landline but it was just dead silence, no one chatting at all. Sounds like some call centre from Three3 over in Mumbai. Honestly it feels like harrassment to me, if theyre staff from the network just tryin to squeeze more money out of ppl like me using their service, its really annoying.

Got a call about some supposed broadband debt from Three... but they were asking really weird questions. Definitely dont share any personal info. Better to hop on the Three website and chat with someone on the live chat, or just sort any payments directly from there. I wouldnt trust these calls, something feels off about them...

I kept getting calls from this number like 3 times a day all week. Eventually, I picked up. The person asked for my personal info but I said no. Then they said they’d email me a unique code but I never got anything. They kept pushing for my details. I asked if they could send the code by text instead, they hesitated but agreed - still never got it. Then they blamed my wifi or phone and wanted my info again, I refused. They said it’s alright if I didn’t trust them and to call back later. I rang 3 to check and they told me it definitely wasn’t them, so it’s a scam.
