I’m not sure who it actually was, but they said they were from 3 phone company. They wanted my full name first, which is fair enough, but then they asked me for my number. It’s really strange because if it’s really the phone company calling, surely they already have my number? Feels a bit fishy to me.

This number is from Three Mobile. I just moved over to EE and got a call from this number about settling the final bill I had with Three. I paid them over the phone and then saw Three Mobile on my bank statement. So yeah, this number seems to be genuine.

Someone phoned me asking for my postcode and dob, I said no way. I rang Three and they told me to just ignore it cos it’s not them. Apparently, they only get in touch if you’ve asked to be called. I’ve blocked the number now.

i reckon its probably a linked company that’s gotten hold of 3’s info. happened to me with 02 once, where some so-called ‘partner’ who said they were my ‘account manager’ called. ask them straight up if they’re 3 or just a third party. if it’s the latter, better hang up quick!
