Got a call from 03333208733, supposedly from Warmer Roof, asking about some folks who used to live in a nursing home - mind you, these people passed away nearly two decades ago. I called back and spoke to someone named Rachel who promised to take my number off their list. Yeah right, not convinced at all. Buying a phone list that’s 20 years out of date just shows how clueless they are.

Got a call from this number at 10:32 this morning, asking for a Mrs H who apparently used to live here but has passed away. Ive been at this address 20 years! Got a call again for the second day in a row. A very polite woman asked if I was Mr (my late husband's name), then if I was Mrs instead. She said my number was in their records and that they were asked to get in touch to say my loft insulation "might be dangerous" and offered a "free inspection" to see if I needed an update. I said no thanks and mentioned my number is on the telephone preference list, so they shouldn't have it or be ringing me. She said the company was called Warner Rook UK.

They rang me twice yesterday. The first time, they just hung up after I said hello a couple of times. They stayed on for maybe 10 seconds tops. When they called back, I shouted "Get a life!" before they could even end the call. Honestly, anyone using these dodgy methods should be blacklisted and banned from having any phone for at least five years, if you ask me. They should also be forced to compensate everyone they’ve tried to scam and annoyed beyond belief.

If it's important (like a doc, hospital, or mate using a different phone not on the safe list), they drop their name and I'll pick up. If not, it's just a total waste of time. These rubbish companies - only the worst ones use these sneaky tricks - need to know we’re fed up. We live in a flat with no way to soundproof the roof, and we're ex-directory, so it’s clearly cold callers. Let them rack up big phone bills and shell out for their call centre staff instead.

Got a call from Madison saying their records claim we’ve got rockwool insulation in our roof, which apparently the British Lung Foundation now calls a health risk. When I pressed her, she fessed up they were pushing us to buy new ‘non irritant’ roof insulation. Told her we’re on the TPS and asked for our number to be taken off their list - then blocked the number. The whole thing felt like scare tactics and maybe some dodgy info.
