I received a rather unpleasant call from a rather brash gentleman with a thick Scottish accent, claiming to be inquiring about my business electricity account. I've been inundated with calls over the past week, with these chaps asking if I’m someone I’m not (I am, in fact, on Facebook as a self-employed mobile beauty therapist, having recently moved). They keep prattling on about needing to switch my energy supplier and rambling about utility bills in general. Occasionally, they’ll just inquire if I’m the person they’re after before hanging up, which is rather annoying. I keep explaining that as a mobile technician, I don’t have to make any changes to my property, yet the phone calls just keep flooding in day after day. It’s becoming tiresome, but I can’t block them all, especially since some ring from ‘No caller ID’ numbers.

This elicited a barrage of rude remarks before they abruptly disconnected. Not long after, they tried again, and when my colleague picked up, they threatened ominously with, "I’ve got a weapon, so you better watch yourselves."

SCAM ALERT! Some bloke pretending to be from British Gas called saying we were on an emergency tariff. When we told him we weren’t convinced, we got another call shortly after from a ‘British Gas’ number. A guy called Gareth said he was with British Gas and mentioned something about Action Energy contacting him. He threw out a dodgy account number, then just ended the call. Also, they called with no caller ID showing. Very suspicious!

I've been inundated with an incessant stream of phone calls from the following numbers: 03333209705, 02031370747, 01254470953, 08000385210, 0125350790, and 08456021111. It's been relentless-I'm talking about 6 to 10 calls daily, each one more annoying than the last, all hailing from various locations across the UK. This nightmare kicked off about ten days ago. They have the audacity to ring from regional codes as well! Their spiel claims we've shifted from domestic to business energy use, which is utterly preposterous. It's nothing short of a scam, I assure you. Whatever you do, don’t divulge any personal information. Keep track of the numbers they’re using; this is pure harassment!

They’ve been ringing my number nonstop for the past few hours, called me about 5 times already. Spoke to one person and explained that I’m not linked to their group, but another caller came through just saying the same rubbish again! Properly rude and really pushy. Feels like harassment for sure.

Got loads of calls about my electric provider. They found my number on my business site and kept asking if it was for a home or a company. When I told them to remove me from their calls, they insisted on a reason. I just said that’s not my concern and to stop calling. They rang me twice within half an hour, using two separate phone numbers.

Yep, totally agree with what others are saying, they can be a pain, but honestly, they found us an awesome deal for our local, and Natasha was super helpful and sorted us out with better prices than I saw anywhere online. They never asked for any private details to get us started either. All in all, I’m pleased with how it went. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT A SCAM.

Got calls from some energy firm, like 7 times over the past few hours, each time from a new number. The ones I caught were 0333 320 9705, 0800 038 5210, 01253 978501, 01254 470953, and 01253 340546. Proper annoying!

This is a classic slow-build scam. They ring you loads of times but hang up before saying anything, probably hoping you’ll pick up eventually. When they finally do talk, it’s to try and sell you something. If you ring them back, you just get told to leave a message for a call back. My advice? Find your nearest police station’s number and let them know about these calls if no one else does anything. Easy really.
