I’ve got a second phone that serves solely for online browsing purposes, and it’s with BT. I've never actually used it to make calls or send texts, so I’m completely in the dark about its number. I got a call from someone saying they're from 3, wanting loads of personal info, including the last 4 digits of my bank account - obviously I didn’t provide any of it. It’s 100% a scam. The person was really pushy, kept telling me to recall my memorable info to “verify” the account. They even sounded annoyed when I said I couldn’t remember those details. Definitely dodgy.

My mum gets calls from these lot every day, they're always saying she owes money on a phone she’s never had and a number she doesn’t know. 3 have checked and confirmed she doesn’t have any other phone or number with them, and never has. They advised her not to share any details with these callers because it’s not really 3, and to call the official 3 number if these scammers ring again. 3’s staff are always polite and wouldn’t be rude or hang up suddenly like these scammers did to my mum. So definitely a scam, they’re not 3 - don’t give them any info.

Indeed, it’s definitely linked to the 3 mobile network, as has been correctly highlighted. The number they’re asking you to ring back is 03333381031, as mentioned by a chap from Sky News with a thick Scottish accent (well, it seemed to be him...rumour has it he’s picking up a bit on the side!). 🙂

I've had the misfortune of receiving calls from this number on two occasions now, and it's quite peculiar as they ring me at the exact same hour each time. They claim to be representatives from Three. As others have noted, the callback number they provide seems to be non-existent. Taking the initiative, I reached out to Three directly today to scrutinise both my account and my daughter's. The representative meticulously assessed the details and confirmed there was nada that could explain why they would need to get in touch with us. When I shared the number that had been bothering me, they informed me that it’s not affiliated with Three at all. What a shocker! Turns out it’s a scam. So, a word of caution to everyone, especially those using Three-please refrain from disclosing any financial or card information!

Got calls nonstop from an Indian lady saying she’s from 3, going on about a contract but she won’t say what exactly unless i give our post code (which 3 already have since that’s where our bills go) and she asked for both mine and my husband’s card info. This number is linked to 3’s customer support, specifically for payment collection. They request a password, which is the one you’d have arranged beforehand to talk about your account on the phone.
