Got a call about supposed housing repairs that were overdue. I told them we handle everything through the council and didn’t have any issues. They insisted I was mistaken, then just hung up on me. Told the local council about it and they said it was definitely a scam.

A bloke phoned me claiming to be from some housing repair service, saying they could sort me out with cash if the council hasn’t fixed my place on time or made the repairs at all. I’ve had calls from this same outfit before, but they ring from different numbers each time. Don’t hand over any of your info to these lot, they’re just con artists. They want you to feel comfortable so you spill your personal details, and once you do, there’s not much you can do to get out of the mess.
