Got calls from scammers faking they’re British Gas. I’m not even a customer with them. Total number spoofing trick.

Got a call from 03332029786 saying they're from British Gas. It was an automated voice telling me to press any button. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

I picked up and they just ended the call straight away.

Like others, I reckon it might be a scam using a real British Gas number, but I'm not 100% certain. Either way, it was pretty annoying, they hung up within a few seconds before I could get a proper answer.

When I picked up, no one was on the other end. It’s happened a few times now, defo a scam. Phone just left ringing down. Really annoying, maybe even harmful but for sure it’s harassment.

I received another phone call, allegedly from British Gas. The caller identified themselves as a representative from British Gas, but then proceeded to ask me to press any key on my phone.

Got a call from 03332029786 on my landline on 8/03/2021 around 11.26am. Didn’t know the number, so I didn’t bother picking up. No voicemail or anything left to explain who it was. After all the dodgy calls I’ve been getting, I just don’t answer my landline anymore. I wait for it to stop ringing and then check if there’s a message. These scam calls really wind me up.

Got the same kind of scam calls again today, from similar places but different phone numbers. Didn’t answer and no voicemail left either. Feels like I’ve been flooded with these calls all day. Another one added to the BT 1572 block list.

I didn’t respond since the call seemed dodgy. After looking up the number here, I’m relieved I ignored it.
