If this call is genuinely from British Gas, they can jog on. We’ve stuck with Octopus and Corgi for about five years now after BG left us without any heating or hot water for three whole weeks when it was below freezing. They sent some bloke to fix our boiler but after two weeks of him popping round every day and making things worse, he said he could offer a new boiler fitted at a decent price. Got a call from 03332029523, left a voicemail claiming to be British Gas about something not that important, told me to ring back on another number. Figured it’s most likely a telemarketer but the ask to ring a different number feels dodgy. Hung up on them and blocked the number now.

Basically the same as the comment before, I ended my contract a year ago but they just wont stop calling. When I answered today it just rang out right away. So annoying and not very professional at all. Bet they’re all just working from home or summat!

Some bloke called saying he was from British Gas homecare. He had my name and address, which freaked me out as I stopped using their service like 6 months ago. Why are they even bothering me now? It’s ages past when I was meant to renew, so I honestly think this is just straight up harassing.

Saw I missed a call from this number and they left me a voicemail that lasted about 40 seconds. But it was just strange background sounds and some odd clicking noises, nothing understandable.

Got a proper call from British Gas about the boiler cover with their Homecare team. They had a few numbers for the house so ended up chatting to some younger family members too, to make sure the boiler gets checked. Safety matters, and best part is, we dont have to pay a penny for the service!

Got a voicemail asking for a meter reading but no phone number left. When I rang back, they said it was a call centre in Africa. The guy asked for all my billing details and said he was pulling up the info. Then the line just cut out. After that I called the number on the actual bill and apparently their call centre is in the Philippines, not Africa. Definitely need to be more careful with these calls going forward.
