I got a letter from Barlaycard saying I might get some money back for interest and charges, so I decided to ring the number provided. I was pretty surprised when they refunded me over £200, totally unexpected! The letter had the last four digits of my credit card, so I figured it was legit... turns out it really was. Glad I took the chance and phoned!

Today, i got a letter saying barclaycard owed me money back on some ‘interest adjustment’ but i’ve never even had an account with them. So i phoned the customer service number listed online to check it out and it turned out to be a scam. If you get such a letter, dont call the number on it! If you do bank with Barclays, use the official number from their website or your card. Make sure you warn them about this scam, they should assist you with the right steps.

I got a letter that looked like it was from Barclaycard about some kind of refund. I tried ringing Barclaycard using a number I found online, but they told me it was a scam. Then I looked up the address printed on the letterhead and it turned out to be a claims company.
