Got a call from a dodgy number that just wouldn't stop ringing, ended up leaving a bogus voicemail.

Got a text saying there was some dodgy activity on my Lloyds account and to respond if it was me. Later that day, I got an automated call pretending to be Lloyds fraud team telling me to ring them back. I just didn’t bother with either of them, seemed fishy.

I got a voicemail saying it was Lloyds Bank worried about some dodgy charges on my credit card and telling me to ring back on that number. I do bank with Lloyds, but I wasn’t about to call that number directly. Instead, I rang the official number on the back of my card like a few others here suggested. That connected me straight to their fraud team. Turns out, it really was Lloyds trying to reach me, and everything got cleared up in the end.

They keep calling me nonstop, saying there’s been some credit card fraud. It’s really annoying.

This was definitely a scam call, didn't seem legit at all.

Got a call claiming to be from Lloyds bank about suspicious activity on my credit card. I was pretty sceptical, but then I got a text saying they’d prevented a payment to booking.com. Felt odd though, like how would they even know to block that payment? Just to be safe, I went ahead and cancelled the card.

Got a text from this number earlier today, saying there was some weird payment on my credit card. I replied telling them it wasn’t me, then the phone kept ringing. I was travelling on a train so couldn’t really hear well, so I just waited to be somewhere quiet. They rang me around ten times in less than fifteen minutes! When I finally called them back, some robot told me to ring a different number. I got a bit anxious and decided to sort it out once I was back home. Since then, no more calls.

I've received three calls from this number and they even texted me claiming to be from "llodys." It's definitely suspicious, so proceed with caution and consider blocking them!

Received a voicemail last night around 8 o'clock, supposedly from the fraud department of Lloyds Bank. I chose not to call back, but I took a moment to check my bank account and all appears to be in order. This is undoubtedly a scam, even though they did sound remarkably persuasive. I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

I’ve just had a message purporting to be from Lloyds Bank regarding my credit card, even referencing the final four digits of my card. They’re prompting me to ring a number. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

Got four calls from this number all in one day, didn’t leave a single voicemail. I don’t have a Lloyds bank account, so if this is linked to any scams involving my card like some folks are saying here, it’s definitely not me.

Initially, I received a couple of messages that appeared to be from Lloyds Bank. One of them stated that soon I'd get a text to verify some activity on my card, quoting the final four digits. It warned that failure to respond might result in further card payments being blocked. Furthermore, if anyone were to contact me directly instructing me to reply 'yes' to a text or provide a passcode, I should hang up immediately, as that would be a scam. Then, I got a message from +44 7883 306287, urging me to respond or they'd stop processing my card transactions. It claimed that my Lloyds credit card (the last digits provided) was supposedly used on 17-11-2023 at 05:12:07 for £25 at AMZN Digital, and that the transaction had been declined. The message instructed me to reply YES if it was indeed me, otherwise reply NO. Since then, my phone’s been bombarded with calls on both my mobile and landline from +44 333 345 9535. The first time they left a voicemail that began with something about Barclay but quickly switched to saying it was the Lloyds Bank Fraud Team, including my full account name and discussing card fraud. They provided callback numbers: 0333 045 9535 and text support at 0800 056 3874. However, when I checked on the official Lloyds Bank website, those contact numbers didn’t match at all. It’s an exceptionally convincing scam, so please stay vigilant!

Received a call today from someone purporting to be from Lloyds Bank’s Fraud Prevention unit, and they even used my full name. The timing was suspicious, especially right after I'd just used my credit card. I ended up hanging up quite swiftly.

Claimed to be from Lloyd's Bank's Fraud Protection Division. They were incredibly persistent-rang me three or four times. They had my name, which made them seem quite credible. In the end, I just put the phone down.

Received a phone call claiming to be from Halifax Bank, but turned out to be something else entirely!

I've received yet another call today from this same number. They’re claiming to be from Lloyds Bank once more, this time regarding some supposed transactions on my credit card. It’s getting rather tiresome!

I received a phone call from someone claiming that unusual activity had occurred with my credit card, likely due to fraudulent use. They urged me to press any digit to connect with a representative. I ended the call immediately as it was clearly a scam.

I've just received my fourth call from this number, and it's the same tiresome ordeal once more. Absolutely infuriating!

I've now received two calls from this number - the first was only about thirty minutes ago. On the latest call, a woman on the line insisted she was from Lloyds Bank's Fraud Department. She mentioned some dubious activity on my account and urged me to press any digit to connect with someone regarding the matter. What absolute nonsense! Clearly, this is nothing more than a scam.
