Got a call from some dodgy person asking if I could transfer some cash. Seemed like a right scam to me.

For the last few days, they've been ringing me on both my mobile and landline, even sending texts. They say it’s about some Lloyds credit card fraud, claiming they know my full ID details and the last few numbers of my card. Then they ask me to press any number on the phone to respond.

Just wanted to add something to my earlier post from today. Seeing all the different stories about this number made me call Lloyds myself. Turns out it was really their fraud team ringing about unusual activity on our credit card linked to Paypal. I managed to talk straight to Lloyds who told me if we ever get dodgy calls again, it’s best to reach out through their app. I’ve since cancelled my card right there on the app and requested a replacement. So overall, this number is legit but for safety’s sake, always verify through the Lloyds Banking App first.

I just got a call from a robotic woman saying my Lloyds credit card was compromised. When I phoned Lloyds myself, they said that number doesn't exist in their records. Creepy that the AI even called me by my first name!

I had a few dodgy tries to use my Lloyds credit card for nearly £2000, but luckily the fraud team caught it straight away. I got through to a lovely lady who was really helpful, she sorted the whole thing by cancelling my card and sending out a new one. The suspicious payments were blocked immediately, which was a relief. Really impressed with how quickly Lloyds handled the whole scam attempt - top marks to them!

First, I got a call on my landline, then they rang my mobile. It turned out to be Lloyds Bank themselves! They warned me about some suspicious activity on my Mastercard that just happened a little while ago. Proper good service from Lloyds Bank, gotta say.

Got a few dodgy text messages claiming there was an issue with my Lloyds credit card - problem is, I don’t even have any accounts with Lloyds! Then I had a couple of calls I ignored, but they left voicemails about the exact same thing. Definitely not planning to engage with them, seems really fishy to me.

I wanna change what I said before. Looks like they actually sent me a new card and the call was legit after all. If you're not sure though, just call the credit card company straight away to check for any fraud.

Total rip off. First, I got a message from a short number claiming to be from Lloyds Bank, warning me to expect a text. Then, out of nowhere, a random mobile number messaged me about a purchase on my credit card through PAYPAL, asking me to reply YES or NO. They even showed the last digits of the card, but it was the wrong number! Later, I got a call with my full name, saying I needed to get in touch or all future payments would be blocked. Really tricky way to try and scam someone.

I got this robotic call that I immediately thought was some sort of scam. Then the next day, I found out my credit card was blocked and had to ring my bank. It turns out that the phone number was legit, and the automated message was actually to help me cancel the card so they could send a new one. It just goes to show how tricky it is to know what's real or fake these days - always keep your guard up and verify stuff!

I reckon that call was actually from Lloyds fraud team. I didn’t pick up, but shortly after I got a message about a payment to Google for some ads. It’s a legit charge that Lloyds tends to freeze every month anyway.

I think this has something to do with a deal I saw on Facebook for a brand new De Walt socket set at just £3. It was supposed to be for people over 50, which made me a bit wary. I didn’t finish buying it and then got a call from 03330 045 9521, but I chose not to answer. The offer seemed genuine at first but now I reckon it’s probably dodgy and too good to be real.

From what I’ve found, Lloyds bank does actually use 0333 numbers. So if you get a call from one of those, it’s best to ring the bank yourself to check. For me, the call was legit because I noticed four charges on my account all on the same day that I hadn’t authorised at all.

On Boxing Day 2024, I got a call from this number and it turned out to be legit, from Lloyds Bank. Three separate companies attempted to withdraw money from my account, but Lloyds blocked them, luckily. I’d been trying to pay for something online but it kept failing twice. Lloyds then contacted me to let me know, cancelled my card, and sent a replacement card out, which arrived in three days.

This was so confusing, I called the number because it was supposed to be an anti-fraud line about a possible charge on my card. The people on the other end seemed quite legit, they even had my mobile, my partner’s mobile, and our home number. But when I checked reviews here, people were split on whether it was real or not. Dodgy caller alert!❗️Received a pre-recorded message from a robotic voice purporting to be from Lloyds regarding fraud. They initially buzzed my mobile, but as I didn’t pick up, they left a measly one-second voicemail. Then they bizarrely targeted my landline, which is supposed to be unlisted. It’s getting ridiculous - they’ve been ringing me almost hourly, even the very next day! I’ve blocked the number, yet I still end up with these frustrating one-second voicemails! 😒 What really puzzles me is how they’ve managed to obtain my unlisted home number. I only share it with the NHS and my bank. Who’s out there peddling our private info or have we all been breached in some way?

I got a call claiming to be from Lloyds bank about weird activity on my credit card ending in xxxx. They asked me for my date of birth, and that’s when I just ended the call. Rang my bank afterwards, and they told me it was definitely a scam.

Got a couple of calls earlier today (4/4/23) supposedly from Lloyds Bank. They mentioned an account holder named Jonathan, but none of us have heard of him. The location they said was Cambridgeshire. Two calls back to back for the same bloke.

I got a call from this number claiming to be from my bank. The voice sounded just like the one I hear on official bank messages, but when I rang the fraud hotline afterwards, they started asking for my account info. I just ended the call straight away.

I got loads of calls and messages from this number saying if I didn’t get back to them, my card would get blocked. So I rang up Lloyds Bank myself and they told me it wasn’t a number that belonged to them. Total scam, stay careful everyone!

03330459521 called me, claiming to be from Lloyds. Seemed really dodgy to me, like they were trying to scam or something. Definitely wouldn’t trust that number.

Got this sneaky call and a message mentioning the last 4 digits of my card, saying it was used on PayPal. I just hung up straight away, blocked the caller, and wiped the message. Proper clever trick to scare people!

This number really is from Lloyds Bank, calling to check if you tried to use your credit card and it got declined. Don’t just ignore the call, your card might’ve been used fraudulently or compromised somehow.

Just like a lot of others here, I got a message claiming it was from Lloyds Bank warning me to look out for another text. Soon after, I received a text saying a purchase had been made on Amazon using my credit card and I had to reply YES or NO. They even included part of my card number! To top it off, I got a voicemail telling me to get in touch or my payments would be blocked. Truly a crafty scam if you ask me.

I got a voicemail from someone saying they were from Lloyds, talking about a payment I’d supposedly tried to make on some dodgy Jordansofficial.com site. My card had been declined there, but I didn’t answer the call. The message sounded pretty legit, saying they were checking for a possible fraud on my card. I looked at my bank account and there was nothing suspicious or any transactions waiting.

At first I thought it might be a scam, but it wasn’t. The call came from Lloyds Fraud Team letting me know there was some unusual activity on my credit card. I’m relieved they got in touch and blocked my card, because it seems my info had been stolen. I did suggest to them that their automated calls could be more personalised and easier to identify.

Got a recorded message on my phone after receiving a text claiming my card with the last digits xxxx was used and asked me to verify it. What they didn’t catch is that my card number actually doesn’t end with those figures. The voicemail was surprisingly professional, mentioning my full name and even listing a genuine Lloyds contact number along with a bogus one. If you’re worried about calls like this, the safest bet is to go straight to the official Lloyds website and ring the number they show there, rather than trusting anything sent in the message.

I got three calls from 33 045 9521 about some supposed issue with a Lloyds credit card. First, I received a text saying another message was coming soon. Then, a second text appeared, mentioning the card and showing the last four digits. Finally, this 0333 number called me with an automated voice giving a person’s name. Since I don’t have any Lloyds accounts, I just ignored it. Seems like a typical scam to me.

I recently had an encounter with the credit card branch of Lloyds Bank. After attempting several purchases using my Lloyds credit card, I found that they were all turned down. To my surprise, a call followed shortly after from the number 03330459521. My phone flagged it as potentially dodgy, yet, since my card transactions had just been blocked, I decided to return the call and go through their security checks. They didn’t ask for any sensitive personal details but had a clear record of the number of failed transactions I had made with my card. I must say, I was quite impressed with the service!
