Phone number ☎️ 03330459522 👆 is reported as a contentious number linked to Lloyds Bank fraud prevention. Many users receive calls warning of suspicious activity on their credit cards; some confirm the calls are genuine after independently verifying with Lloyds via official channels. However, the number often appears as suspected spam or scam, causing confusion and caution. Automated messages and texts may prompt users to respond, but Lloyds advises not engaging directly and instead contacting them using known official numbers. While some experience authentic fraud alerts and consequent card cancellations, others report impostor activity attempting to elicit personal information. Best practice is to treat calls from this number with caution, verify independently through Lloyds’ official contact, and avoid responding to unsolicited messages or pressing keys during calls.

My phone flagged it as a possible scam. Someone rang claiming to be from Lloyds fraud team and even mentioned the name on my card. Just as I was about to ask more, the call got cut off. I still checked my card details and the number they gave definitely wasn’t right.

I got a call that showed up as "possible spam," so I ignored it, but it turned out to be Lloyds' fraud department! I wasn’t sure about the call so I rang Lloyds back on a number I know is legit. They confirmed they’d been trying to reach me about something suspicious and connected me to the fraud team, who then cancelled my card and sent a replacement. Strange thing is, the fraud team didn’t have an explanation for why their number flagged as spam. If you bank with Lloyds, maybe add their fraud line to your contacts just in case.

I got a missed call from this number and then got a text saying something like, “You’ve just been charged £18 from WEB.COMPLETESAVE.CO.UK. Reply YES if you authorised it or NO if you didn’t. If no reply, future payments will be blocked. We’ve cancelled this charge, no money left your card.” The message even included the last digits of my credit card. When I replied, they called me back and connected me to someone claiming to be from the bank. I ended the call straight away. Checked with my bank afterwards and no such payment was made. This is definitely a scam.

Got a voicemail from this number saying it was Lloyds asking me to get back to them. Instead of calling back, I rang the number on the back of my card and ended up speaking to their fraud team. They said that the number from the message was definitely genuine. Apparently, my card might’ve been used somewhere dodgy, so they wanted to cancel it and send me a new one. It was all totally legit - no scams or phishing involved - and I saw the card cancellation update straight away on my Lloyds app.

Earlier today I bought something online and pretty soon after, I started getting texts, a call, and a voicemail warning me about possible fraud on my account. Since I’m always wary of unknown numbers, I rang up Lloyds straight away to check if it was a scam. Turns out, all those messages and calls were legit. So if you see a text from “Lloyds Bank” with a space in the name instead of “LloydsBank,” or a text from 07883 306903, plus a call then a voicemail from 0333 045 9522, it’s actually from Lloyds Bank Fraud Team. Thought I’d share this to save others the worry.

I saw I'd missed four calls from this number, and the voicemail said it was Lloyds' Credit Card fraud prevention team. I decided to call the number on my card just to be safe, and it turned out there was suspicious activity on my account. They connected me to the fraud department, who told me they'd stopped several small transactions. In the end, I cancelled the card. Really pleased I double-checked with Lloyds before doing anything else.

Apparently, this number is among a bunch of around 90 linked to Lloyds bank. I actually called them myself and they said it’s legit, though they wouldn’t say much about the specific number. Sounds like they might be using some system that pulls random numbers when they ring you, which is probably why phones label it as spam. Lloyds did mention that before the call, customers usually get a text warning about fraud checks. Of course, some people might not realise this. Honestly, the safest move is to use the number right off the back of your bank card when you need to contact Lloyds.

I got in touch with Lloyds Bank to verify a call I had received, and they assured me it was indeed legitimate, coming from one of their official numbers. Curiously, I also woke up to two text messages at 4:45 in the morning regarding a hotel reservation in Canada. Since I didn’t respond, they blocked my card, which I found rather relieving, to be honest! I raised my concerns with Lloyds about their prompt asking me to press any button to proceed with the call-it definitely made me suspicious. I first got a message that claimed to be from Lloyds Bank, nestled amid older texts from them, which raised my suspicion. It warned, 'Soon, you’ll receive another message from us to verify some activity on your card ending in XXXX. If you don’t reply, we may block future transactions. If anyone visits you and instructs you to reply 'yes' to our text or provides a password, terminate the call immediately-it’s a scam.’ Not long after, I received another text from a different number (+447897013517), stating my card had been used at Sainsbury's that same morning, requesting that I respond YES or NO to confirm if it was me. Naturally, this made me anxious, so I called Lloyds Bank using the number I usually trust. They assured me there had been no activity on my card, and that the subsequent text was definitely fraudulent. While I was in the midst of that phone call, another incoming call popped up which I decided to ignore; it went straight to voicemail. The message instructed me to ring either 03330 459522 or 0800 056 3874. Given my ongoing conversation with Lloyds, they confirmed it was a scam. To err on the side of caution, I opted to cancel my credit card.

I recently received an automated phone message that sounded suspicious, claiming to be from Lloyds Bank. The message asked me to call either 03330459522 or 08000563874 due to alleged suspicious activity on my credit card. Instead of calling those numbers, I decided to contact Lloyds directly using the Fraud Prevention number provided on their official website. However, the Lloyds representative was not familiar with the numbers I was given and advised me to only use the contact numbers printed on the back of my credit card. Interestingly, there had been actual suspicious activity on my credit card in the past 24 hours (which turned out to be an administrative error). Lloyds had already reached out to me separately via text message, providing all the necessary details.

I received a rather dubious call right after I'd made an online transaction, where an automated voice pretended to represent Lloyds-addressing me by name, no less! They insisted that I return the call to the same number. Naturally, I opted to ring up the standard Lloyds line instead, enduring the customary 20-minute wait. To my relief, they assured me it was a scam. Deceptive practices at play, for sure!

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds' fraud prevention department regarding my credit card. However, to be on the safe side, I decided to contact the bank using their official app. To my surprise, there was indeed an attempted transaction on my credit card, which mirrored the information mentioned in the text message sent from the number +44 7883 269199. Though this seemed suspicious, I still double-checked with Lloyds, who confirmed that this specific number is not associated with their system. They did mention that they use a similar approach and that only a couple of digits differed in the numbers. Despite their response, I advise everyone to be cautious and not engage with such calls or messages. It is vital to monitor your account regularly for any suspicious activity.

I chose not to pick up the phone when it started ringing. After I listened to the voicemail, I decided to call back the number. An automated voice identified itself as being from Lloyds Bank’s Fraud Prevention Division. It even addressed me by name, which was rather unsettling. I opted to hang up and didn’t engage any further with the call.

Got a text saying my credit card payment was declined, supposedly from Lloyds Bank. It didn’t feel right, so I reached out to Lloyds fraud dept through another contact method. They confirmed the decline was real, it was for an Apple Pay transaction, and there were a few more pending ones. I ended up cancelling my card. But they never actually told me if the phone number in the text was officially from Lloyds or not.

I received a rather suspicious phone call from the number 03330 459522, claiming to represent Lloyds Bank and insisting they needed to enhance security on my credit card account due to potential fraud. While they knew the correct name of the account holder, we felt quite uncomfortable with the conversation and decided to hang up without providing any information. Afterwards, we reached out to Lloyds directly, only to find out that the number in question was indeed dubious and not associated with their official communications. They made it clear that if there were any concerns about fraud, they would advise account holders to get in touch with them personally instead of soliciting information over a mysterious automated call.

We received another call and decided to contact the bank once again. They've now informed us that there was an attempt to make a transaction at 3 in the morning. It seems there might be some truth to it after all! 🤷‍♀️
