Got a call earlier today from Lloyds’ fraud team about a transaction just a few minutes after it happened. Was a bit suspicious so I rang Lloyds back from a different phone to make sure it was legit. Turned out to be a genuine call from their security dept.

My phone flagged it as a possible scam. Someone rang claiming to be from Lloyds fraud team and even mentioned the name on my card. Just as I was about to ask more, the call got cut off. I still checked my card details and the number they gave definitely wasn’t right.

I got a call that showed up as "possible spam," so I ignored it, but it turned out to be Lloyds' fraud department! I wasn’t sure about the call so I rang Lloyds back on a number I know is legit. They confirmed they’d been trying to reach me about something suspicious and connected me to the fraud team, who then cancelled my card and sent a replacement. Strange thing is, the fraud team didn’t have an explanation for why their number flagged as spam. If you bank with Lloyds, maybe add their fraud line to your contacts just in case.

I got a missed call from this number and then got a text saying something like, “You’ve just been charged £18 from WEB.COMPLETESAVE.CO.UK. Reply YES if you authorised it or NO if you didn’t. If no reply, future payments will be blocked. We’ve cancelled this charge, no money left your card.” The message even included the last digits of my credit card. When I replied, they called me back and connected me to someone claiming to be from the bank. I ended the call straight away. Checked with my bank afterwards and no such payment was made. This is definitely a scam.

Got a voicemail from this number saying it was Lloyds asking me to get back to them. Instead of calling back, I rang the number on the back of my card and ended up speaking to their fraud team. They said that the number from the message was definitely genuine. Apparently, my card might’ve been used somewhere dodgy, so they wanted to cancel it and send me a new one. It was all totally legit - no scams or phishing involved - and I saw the card cancellation update straight away on my Lloyds app.

Earlier today I bought something online and pretty soon after, I started getting texts, a call, and a voicemail warning me about possible fraud on my account. Since I’m always wary of unknown numbers, I rang up Lloyds straight away to check if it was a scam. Turns out, all those messages and calls were legit. So if you see a text from “Lloyds Bank” with a space in the name instead of “LloydsBank,” or a text from 07883 306903, plus a call then a voicemail from 0333 045 9522, it’s actually from Lloyds Bank Fraud Team. Thought I’d share this to save others the worry.

I saw I'd missed four calls from this number, and the voicemail said it was Lloyds' Credit Card fraud prevention team. I decided to call the number on my card just to be safe, and it turned out there was suspicious activity on my account. They connected me to the fraud department, who told me they'd stopped several small transactions. In the end, I cancelled the card. Really pleased I double-checked with Lloyds before doing anything else.

I keep receiving calls from this number, claiming there's a dubious payment request linked to my Lloyds Mastercard through CC Bill.com*Om. They insist I press any digit to be connected. However, I’ve checked and there's absolutely nothing on my account that’s pending. This type of call reminds me of the ones featured on ScamBusters on the BBC. Apparently, this number is among a bunch of around 90 linked to Lloyds bank. I actually called them myself and they said it’s legit, though they wouldn’t say much about the specific number. Sounds like they might be using some system that pulls random numbers when they ring you, which is probably why phones label it as spam. Lloyds did mention that before the call, customers usually get a text warning about fraud checks. Of course, some people might not realise this. Honestly, the safest move is to use the number right off the back of your bank card when you need to contact Lloyds.

I got in touch with Lloyds Bank and they told me the call was legit, coming from one of their official numbers. Earlier that morning at about 4:45 am, I had also got a couple of texts checking if I wanted to confirm a hotel booking in Canada. Since I didn’t respond to those messages, the card got blocked and declined, which honestly made me feel safer! I did mention to Lloyds that asking me to press any key to keep the call going really made me wary. Got a message that looked like it was from Lloyds Bank, showing up among some old genuine texts from them. It warned me that I'd soon get another text to confirm some card activity on my account ending in XXXX, and if I didn’t reply, future payments might get blocked. It also said if anyone called asking me to reply ‘yes’ or give out a password, to just hang up because it’s definitely a scam. Then I got a second text from a strange number (+447897013517) saying my card had been used at Sainsbury’s earlier that day and asking me to reply YES or NO to confirm if it was me. Worried about this, I called Lloyds through their official number. They told me no transactions had been made and said that second text was fake. While I was on the phone, I noticed another call coming in but didn’t pick it up. It went to voicemail and a message left told me to call either 03330 459522 or 0800 056 3874. Got a call today at about 8:30am from this number. They said there was some sort of fraud on my credit card and tried to get info off me, total phishing attempt. Ended the call straight away. Looked up the number here and saw others had reported it too. Cheers for that!

Got a voicemail and a missed call supposedly from Lloyds Bank warning me about suspicious activity on my credit card. I wasn’t sure if it was legit, so I rang them back using the number on their app. Turns out, the call was actually genuine.

I got a message that seemed to be from Lloyds saying I’d get another one soon about a possible fraud attempt on my card, and it said I had to reply to avoid my card being blocked. Sure enough, a follow-up text showed up from that number a few mins later, then I got a recorded call saying the same thing about fraud and asking me to respond Yes or No. Something felt off, so I didn’t answer, especially after checking the comments here and getting a bad vibe.

Got a message on my iPhone claiming to be Lloyds Banking saying I tried to spend 91p on my credit card and it was declined. I replied saying it wasn't me. They said they'd either call that number or block future payments. I’m going to try contact Lloyds directly once I find a legit phone number, as this seems a bit dodgy.

I got this weird automated message, claiming to be from Lloyds Bank, telling me to ring 03330459522 or 08000563874 because there was some dodgy activity on my credit card. I decided to contact Lloyds myself but used the Fraud Prevention number listed on their official site, not those numbers. They told me those numbers weren’t theirs and insisted I should only use the phone numbers found on the back of my card. It’s a bit strange since there actually was some odd activity on my card in the last day, but that was just a mistake on their system, and Lloyds had already sent me a proper text about it separately.

Right after buying something online, I got a call from a robotic voice saying it was Lloyds and mentioning my name, telling me to ring the same number. I decided to call the proper Lloyds number instead and ended up on hold for about 20 minutes. When I finally got through, they said it definitely wasn’t them. Total scam, be careful!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Lloyds fraud team about a charge on my card. I double checked using the Lloyds app and there was indeed a dodgy transaction trying to go through, matching the info from the call and the text from +44 7883 269199. Lloyds later told me this number isn’t one they use, even though the numbers were really close, just off by a couple of digits. So, looks fishy to me. Best advice is don’t reply or call back - just keep an eye on your bank daily to spot anything weird.

The phone rang but I chose not to pick up. Later on, I listened to the voicemail and decided to call back. The automated voice said it was from Lloyds Bank’s Fraud Prevention team and even mentioned my name. I didn’t carry on with the call after that.

Got a text saying my credit card payment was declined, supposedly from Lloyds Bank. It didn’t feel right, so I reached out to Lloyds fraud dept through another contact method. They confirmed the decline was real, it was for an Apple Pay transaction, and there were a few more pending ones. I ended up cancelling my card. But they never actually told me if the phone number in the text was officially from Lloyds or not.

Just got a ring from 03330 459522, someone saying they were from Lloyds Bank trying to sort out some security stuff on my credit card to stop fraud. They even used the right name for the account but it didn’t feel right, so I just hung up without saying much. I then rang Lloyds myself and they told me that number isn’t theirs, it’s dodgy, and definitely a scam. Apparently, if there’s any suspicion of fraud, they’d have you ring them back and wouldn’t be asking for details through an automated call.
