Some bloke rang claiming he was from the washing machine extra care team and asked for my visa card info to “verify” a discount on the payment. My machine’s less than a year old and has its own insurance anyway, so it didn’t seem legit. Turned out to be a scam and when I called him out, he just said thanks and hung up.

Honestly, I just don’t pick up if I don’t know the number. If it’s really urgent, they’ll leave a voicemail anyway. I’m so tired of getting calls from scammers, loads of them seem to be from India. Our government should seriously get their act together instead of wasting money on wars abroad.

I picked up, there was a small pause and then "Hope you're well today?" I asked who was calling: "This is Mike from the Housing Repair department regarding the report you..." - I just ended the call straight away.
