Complete rip-off. A very polite bloke called me claiming to be from Lloyds Bank's Fraud Prevention team. He told me some local business was attempting to steal over £18,000 from my account. I said I’d contact the bank myself, but definitely not on the number he gave me (0331 6301370). That number isn’t even connected to Lloyds. He rang me back three times after that, but I just ended the call straight away!

Got a ring from a guy with a really posh accent who said he was calling on behalf of LLOYDS. He told me a big transaction had been put on hold to stop any fraud happening. I told him we’d check things out and contact the bank using their official number if anything seemed off. He proceeded to give me a number and a reference to get back to him.
Had a proper look at our accounts afterwards and everything looks fine.
Pretty sure it was just a dodgy scam.

Got a call from an unknown number, some bloke claiming to be from Lloyds, said there was an attempt to put through a big payment on our phone banking today. I ended the call, but he phoned straight back. Told him I'd be ringing my bank manager to deal with it. The worrying part? He actually knew our account number. No doubt, it’s a scam.

Someone rang me saying they were from Lloyds bank. Sounded dodgy from the start, so I didn’t give them any info. Seems like a classic scam call to me. Stay careful, folks!

Watch out for this bank fraud! Someone said they were from Lloyds claiming there was a big withdrawal attempt on our account that got blocked, so they supposedly froze our account. Then they passed me over to another person to 'unfreeze' it. I asked for a phone number to verify the call was real, and they gave me one to ring back on. After that, I contacted my bank myself and they confirmed there were no issues with our account and no holds, so the call was definitely a scam.

They said they’d frozen it for security reasons and gave us this 0331 630 1370 number to ring to get it lifted, with a reference from HSBC. Didn’t bother ringing it back.
