I received a call from a rather insistent chap who was adamant about convincing me that I had been part of a so-called road traffic incident that never actually happened. I made it clear that I had no inclination to squander my time on such flights of fancy and promptly ended the conversation.

Right now, we're in Thailand and this number just won’t stop ringing - sometimes up to six calls a day, even at ridiculous times like 3 in the morning. We don’t have any links to British Gas at all, never dealt with them before. Feels like some kind of scam to me.

Really annoying and wouldn’t give up. Kept ringing about checking my life insurance even when I said no a few times. Definitely not a nice experience.

She kept pushing, saying I'd been in some kind of accident until I finally went along with it. Then I told her I didn't want to say before, but it was because I'd actually died in the crash. That’s when she just hung up on me.
