Someone called from Legal Assist, saying I'd been involved in some kind of accident with my old Dodge Nitro, the one that went up in flames. They asked if I'd managed to get over the shock of it all. I told them I wasn’t near the car when it caught fire because I was actually at work then. They said sorry and promised to take my info off their list, but I reckon they’re just gonna pass it on to another firm anyway.

So this woman called me about a car crash from like 3 years ago that was already sorted out, trying to get me to say it was my fault. I asked her who she was and what company she was from, and she got all defensive and then just slammed the phone down. Does anyone know how I can find out more about this company or get some help with it?

I got a call on my mobile and just as I picked up, the line went dead. Moments later, they rang my landline. The person claimed to be from UK Call Assist and had my name right but wrongly said I’d been in a car crash back in June. I told him straight away to take me off their call list, which he agreed to. Then he started asking about other accidents but I told him I wasn’t interested in any of their services. After that, he just ended the call.
