Just like everyone else here, got a call about 'sorting out' stuff from a car crash. When I started asking stuff, they just dropped the call.

Got a message with a Scottish accent sayin to press one (but there was no beep first) if ya wanna opt out. Thing is, with the new GDPR rules, there shouldn’t be an “opt out” option anymore - it’s meant to be fully up to the person if their info is used or not. Since 25th May 2018, this lot are actually breaking the law by doing that.

Just got a call from 0330 808 7680, they knew my name and said they were from direct law. They told me it was about an accident i was involved in, but when i asked when it happened, they only said sometime in the last 2 years. Then they just ended the call on me. Seems dodgy to me.

My number must’ve come from gov.uk cos I get calls around 12:45pm on weekdays. I’ve said “Hello?” a few times but they just hang up straight away. I usually only share my number with close family and mates, but recently I gave it on a government form for a relative’s DLA claim. I thought it might be them calling to check something. I looked on Who Called Me to see if that was probly them so I could ring back, but after reading other comments, I’m just gonna block the number. Makes me wonder who else the government might’ve shared my details with.

Someone rang saying they were from A.H.A., but I had to ask several times before they finally admitted it was an insurance company calling about a road accident I'd supposedly been in during the last three years. Since I can’t drive because of my disability, these calls are more than just annoying - they’re really upsetting. I wish GDPR would stop this kind of bother. Properly irritating as I was trying to use my phone for something else at the time.

Got another call from a number similar to this one today. When I picked up, they claimed to have details about settling a no-fault accident. I replied with a doubtful “yeah, sure” and they got a bit rude, telling me to “just listen” before hanging up on me. Honestly, I’ve been getting loads of calls like these lately. They kept calling me for three days straight while I was in Mexico. My mates all know to ping me on WhatsApp if it’s not urgent when I’m abroad, but I answered anyway. Guess what? Now my O2 bill’s got these massive charges for international calls. Proper angry about it! Wish I could get back at these muppets. This one woman said ACA or something - I told her she was disturbing me while I was working. I’m sick of these “you’ve had an accident” calls. When I answer, I normally say “why do you want my info? If you know about the accident, you should already have everything” and they just hang up. A mate of my daughter at work has a great response - she goes “oh no! I’m so upset, my entire family got wiped out in the accident” then acts like she’s crying - they drop the call quick lol.
