I got a call from 03308084842 early this morning. I picked up for a moment and there was definitely a woman’s voice but I was still half asleep and ended up dropping my phone, which cut the call off. Afterwards, my phone flagged it as a likely spam number. They didn’t leave any voicemail or anything.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Virgin Money’s accounts team, telling me to call the Fraud Department at 0330 818 2097 about some recent transactions. They couldn’t give me any information and insisted I call that number. I looked up Virgin Money’s official site and that number isn’t listed there at all.

Got a call from this number, a lady with an Asian accent said she was calling from EDF, said she needed to send an engineer to my place. She even knew my name, which felt odd. I asked her to send me an email instead because it didn’t sit right with me. Later on, I checked the number and found out it was dodgy. Not trusting it at all.

Got a message on my phone that looked fishy since I don’t even use any banking apps... It said something like BarcIaysUK: Your new mobile banking code is ******. It warned me not to share it with anyone and to call +443308187109 if I wasn’t expecting it. Seemed dodgy to me!

I got an email that looked like it was from HSBC saying someone had logged into the HSBC app on a new device and told me to ring 03308 081 248. But the email address definitely wasn't from HSBC. These scams are really getting trickier to spot!

Got a call from 03308226448 but no voicemail left. Earlier, I had calls from 07488871260, which I've now blocked. When I tried calling that number back, it said "This number is not in service." One time, I got a scam call from someone with an Asian accent - I called them out, said it was a con. After I hung up, shockingly, they rang back! So when they did, I just answered silently and gave a loud whistle that almost hurt my ear drum! Weirdly enough, it stopped them from calling again!

I've been getting calls from what I think is an insurance scam, and they keep ringing from different numbers. I've told them to stop calling me, but they just don't seem to care. Lately, I've had to start blocking the numbers because it’s getting ridiculous (like 0330 822 4940, 020 3137 6485, 0161 667 0478, 0330 818 7829, 0330 818 7731). Very annoying!
