I got a call from 03303903924, claiming to be Paul from Darwin Clayton Insurance Brokers. He was chatting about our insurance, but I’m a bit iffy whether it’s legit or a scam. They do have a website and are supposed to be located in Nottingham, but the phone number they called from isn’t the usual local code I expected. Gotta admit, the guy was really polite though.

Total scam, watch out!

Got a call from a guy claiming to be with O2, sounded like he had an Indian accent. He said O2 was automatically offering a 30% discount and asked me to verify if I was the account owner. He said all I’d have to do was get two texts, no personal info needed. He kept calling me 'ma’am' the whole time. When I told him I'm not an O2 customer at all and definitely not the account holder, I could tell he got annoyed straight away, saying, “But you just said you were the main account holder!”

Received a call purportedly from O2, saying they could slash my bill by a whopping 40%. They sent me a code via text and insisted I read it back to them. Gut feeling kicked in, so I declined to share it-definitely seemed dodgy to me!

Totally a scam, I asked the bloke to verify my info if he had it handy but he said he couldn’t because of data protection rules. I told him no worries, I’d ring O2 to see if he was legit and get back to him. Next thing he tells me to sod off, absolute muppet.
