Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 offering a 40% discount on my phone bills. They asked me for the security code that was sent to my phone - definitely a big no no to hand that out. When I asked if they were really from O2, they got a bit annoyed. I just told them thanks but no thanks and ended the call. Not falling for that trick!

I received a call from a woman with an Indian accent who was chatting about some deal and a 40% off offer. She claimed to be from O2 and kept saying my contract wouldn’t change, and that I’d get a 40% discount. Then she asked if I was the person on the account. I told her I was just a kid and didn’t really get what she was saying, which was true. It only hit me it might be dodgy after I checked O2’s official number online. So I just stopped talking and ended the call.

If you get a call from this number, just answer and immediately tell them something like, “you’re honestly the worst person I’ve ever dealt with,” or any other insult that comes to mind, then just end the call straightaway.

Somebody rang claiming to be from O2 saying there’s a deal for 40% off my bill. When he asked me to confirm my identity, I told him he should already know. Then he started talking about the offer, so I asked him to send me an email from O2 with all the info. After that, he just said “ok, bye” and hung up. Honestly, don’t share any details with these callers.

I received a call from someone asserting that my life insurance was due for a review. The chap had a peculiar accent that seemed rather foreign, which put me on high alert. I thought it best not to disclose any details about my policy for the so-called review. Better safe than sorry, I reckon!

Some bloke who said his name was Mark Woods (but when I called back he said Mark Hughes) pretended to be a bailiff demanding £3000 for some unpaid ad. It’s a typical scam, they try to scare you by saying they'll be at your door in “15 minutes” - but they never actually turn up. They just want to push you into paying right then and there on the phone.

I've been looking up this number on the internet but couldn't come across any details. Has anyone else had dealings with it? You all were really helpful the last time I asked, so I'm hoping someone here might recognise this one as well. Appreciate any help, cheers!

They rang me to say I hadn't looked over my life insurance policy in ages. At first, I was a bit puzzled because I do have life insurance through my job. Took me a minute to figure out they were just another telemarketer trying to sell me something.
