0330 303 5302? Although these calls can be really irritating and feel suspicious, they actually do come from O2. I rang O2 myself (202 is free if you’re calling from an O2 phone) because I was worried about how much of my personal info the caller on the 0330 number seemed to know when they tried to sell me a deal on an Alcatel tablet. The nice woman I spoke to at O2 dialled the number for me and did all the security steps to check, and she confirmed it is a legit O2 authorised call.

This number is linked to a telemarketing firm called Convergys Intel, which does work for big names like 02 and Vodafone. Even though they’re a legit company, I wouldn’t really recommend dealing with them. I used to be employed there, and just so you know, they’re not actually 02 staff - they’re just contracted out to them. 02 is just a client, not their employer.

I don’t mind the accent, but usually O2 staff sound a bit more professional, not like you’re talking to some dodgy person.
