Got a text about some problem with my bank account, telling me to ring a certain number. I ignored it, but then two days later I got a call from a withheld number, and the person said they were from my bank too. They asked for all my details, like account number and sort code. Complete rubbish... I didn’t give them anything, but it’s no accident the text and the call had the same number just days apart. Be careful, don’t get caught out!

I got a message about Furniture Village just like others here. Oddly enough, right before I got the text, I’d just used a one-time password to pay HMRC online. I’m starting to wonder if someone’s tampered with my HMRC account or something. Definitely a scam though - I don’t even have an account with Nationwide, so I wasn’t falling for it at all.
