When I asked them which council they were with, they said something like they cover all councils, which seemed total nonsense to me. I’ve blocked the number now but I’m sure they’ll ring back from a different one soon. Watch out for this! Their trick is to get you to admit you have housing repairs needed, then they start talking about compensation and try to get you to agree to some fake legal deal. They ask for loads of your personal info - name, address, postcode - and I reckon they sell it on to something called a “MUGS DATABASE”. If you fall for it, you’ll be bombarded with endless calls trying to get you to sign up for god knows what. They’ll even have a go at hacking your email by trying simple passwords, hoping you’re daft enough to have a rubbish one. Stay sharp!
