In just one day, this number has called me about a dozen times telling me to visit a nearby PayPoint to buy a £100 voucher. They said I need to hand it over to a solicitor who would supposedly visit my home within three hours after the payment. They're also making calls from another number, 02031298501.

Got a text that looked like it was from Barclays about some Apple purchase. It's a total scam. Don’t ring the number or click any links in the message. Always find your bank’s official contact details on their real website by typing it in yourself, never through links they send you. Stay safe!

I got a text saying there was a charge of £1749 on my debit card at the Apple Store and to ring 03301170103. I rang Nationwide straight away to check and they said the message wasn’t from them. When I tried the given number from my landline, all I got was a fault message. I wanted to pretend I was from their Fraud Team to see how they’d respond, but had no luck. Don’t share any info with these scammers - always contact your bank directly if you’re unsure.

Got a text saying my Barclays card had a transaction on 25/05/2017 at 12:54 for £1749 from the Apple Online Store. It said if it wasn’t me to ring their fraud team on 03301170103 or +443301170103 and not to reply by text. If you’re not sure about these calls or texts from Barclays, definitely check their official phone number checker first. Got a message saying my debit card was charged £1789 at Apple Online, supposedly from Barclays fraud team. When I rang the number they sent, the call just dropped. Feeling a bit off about it, I decided to call Barclays directly and they said it was a scam number.

Had a call from someone claiming to be Barclays fraud dept. I rang them back and just kept them hanging to waste their time. Total scam, watch out!

Got a voicemail warning me that someone had charged £1976 on my credit card at an Apple store and wanting me to ring their fraud team straight away. Total scam! Been caught out by this kind of trick a couple of years back - they almost wiped me out then too. When I phoned back on a different number, a woman who said she was Anita Hayes answered. I gave her and her bunch a right earful before hanging up. She didn’t say a word, just silently dropped the call. Absolute con artists!
