Got a call from a strange number, looked fishy so I just ignored it. After that I blocked the number and luckily the calls stopped ringing after a while. Wouldn't recommend picking up!

I got a call from someone claiming to be solicitors and said they already had all my details. They mentioned I didn’t need to provide any personal info since they supposedly had it all. They even stated my name, birthdate, and the two banks where I hold accounts, without asking me for any sensitive questions. The only thing they wanted was to confirm the address they had on file for me. They said they'd send me an email with a form to fill out, but assured me the form wouldn’t ask for any personal details. I looked up the number online and didn’t see any warnings about it being a scam. If anyone knows this is a dodgy call, please post about it online. Cheers!

This bloke said he was from Hatton solicitors and that he could sort out my PPI using some Plevin rules. He told me a form had been started online but not finished, which wasn’t the case at all. Fairly believable chap, mind.

They claimed I’d supposedly completed some online form authorising them to be my solicitor to take legal action against someone. Complete nonsense as I never fill out anything online. Definitely a total con.
