Like quite a few others have mentioned, this is definitely a scam. I just got off the phone with Barclays direct after getting a text saying “fraudulent transaction, please call this number.” Barclays know about it and told me they’re trying to put a stop to it.

Got a dodgy call claiming to be from Barclays. I actually called a fake bank number by mistake, not Barclays’ real one. They wanted my card reader and the full card number - total scam. Be careful and don’t share any details with them!
