Got a call from someone saying they were from Barclaycard, trying to get me to pay £699 for a Debenhams order I never made. Definitely sounded like a scam.

Got a text from 6220S saying I needed to verify a payment for £699.00 and if I hadn’t approved it, I should call 03300597928 or email some Barclays address. I asked my daughter to look into it and she said it’s a scam, so I’ve sent the details over to Barclays fraud team. I don’t actually have a bank account with them, but I do have a credit card through Barclays.

Got a message claiming to be from Lloyd’s, but it’s a scam. Don’t tap on any links they send - they’re dodgy. If you’re worried about your Lloyd’s account, best to either pop into your branch or call them through the official app.

Got a call from a number looking like it was from Lloyds, saying I owed a big sum to Debenhams. The number was close to the real Lloyds one but I’ve seen these dodgy numbers before. I rang my bank to be sure and they confirmed it was a scam. So I just ignored and deleted it.
