Totally dodgy call pretending to be NatWest, saying there’s a massive standing order set up on my account. Came through as a text on iMessage from a mobile number. As if I’d fall for that! The message came from +44 7985687353, but they wanted me to ring +44 3300597589. I’ve reported it to the proper services.

If you get a scam text, just send it to 7726 and that's it done. When lots of people report the same number, it can lead to it being marked as suspicious by phone providers and sometimes even shut down. On 6th July 2026 at just past midnight, I got a message saying: “(My Bank’s Name): A standing order for £1,390.99 to ‘eBay’ has been authorised. If this wasn’t done by you, reply “N” and get in touch with us right away +443300597589” It freaked me out because they actually named my bank! I called my bank straight away to check. Turns out, no such standing order was ever set up, and they advised me to send that suspicious text over to them. That number is really dodgy. Don’t engage with it, and definitely mark it as spam! Stay safe, folks!

Another scam alert, just like everyone else said. Got a dodgy text about setting up DD, then the message told me to ring this number… total rubbish.

Just got a message from this number saying some standing order was made to Ebay for £1399 under my name. They asked me to get in touch if I hadn’t done it. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!
