Received a call today from someone asking to speak with the person in charge of the BT account, but the number is on the TPS list and I’m not even with BT. Feels like it might be a dodgy scam trying to pull a fast one.

Got a call from someone claiming to be "BT Openreach" about our VOIP lines. They mentioned there were still lines being used, but when I told them everything was working perfectly fine, they politely backed off. Pretty straightforward really.

Got a call out the blue from someone asking to talk to whoever handles the BT account for our company. The weird part is, they rang a number that's on the TPS list, so clearly they’re not bothering to check against the register before making these calls!

I picked up the phone and there was a lady singing in the background. When I said hello, she spoke with an English accent and started talking about BT and some outreach thing. I told her I’m not the one who handles the bills, and she said she’d ring back another time. This is the second time she’s called in the past couple of weeks.

These calls keep coming, with folks pretending they’re from BT. Surely it’s high time the government stepped in to tackle the spoofing issue, especially when it involves utility companies? It’s getting right annoying now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be about BT accounts, even though we don’t have a landline whatsoever. We’re also registered with the commercial telephone preference service, so cold calls shouldn’t even be happening. Since they went ahead and called us anyway, it feels like they’re up to something dodgy. They also tried that old trick, saying “Maybe your account isn’t with BT, but your lines are still provided by them,” which is rubbish since we only use VOIP and have zero physical lines. Totally dodgy behaviour if you ask me.

I got a cold call from someone about BT, asking who manages the account here. Quite random really.

Got a call supposedly from "BT Openreach" - we dont even have BT services or anything booked. Told her we aint interested and she just went quiet and hung up. Total SCAM / ANNOYING.
