Recently, I received a call from this number, along with several others that seem rather similar, all within the last month or so. This started happening after I reached out to BT's Customer Service through email and chat, where they requested my mobile number. It's quite peculiar, as the individuals purporting to be BT employees who ring me sound as though they’re situated in a vast call centre and speak with distinct Indian accents. Now, before anyone suggests that the caller could be from anywhere else, let me clarify-I’m very selective about sharing my mobile number. I’ve kept it closely guarded and can pinpoint exactly who I’ve given it to. The most recent occasion was with BT, while the last person before that was my estate agent, and that was well over four months ago. - Caller: Unknown - chose not to respond.

Absolute scammers, they never say what company they’re from, the address they give is a complete fake, and they won’t own up to the fact they’re cold calling. Honestly, they seem to lie through their teeth. I’m not even convinced they’re actually here in the UK because most of the people on the other end sound like they’re abroad. Received a call on my mobile today from some firm claiming they were aware of a car accident I’d been involved in (which is completely untrue). When I pressed the woman on how she got her information, she rather absurdly cited a so-called Traffic Accident Statistics department. He even provided an address at 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, which I suspect is just another fabrication. He staunchly claimed they do not purchase phone numbers and that they obtained mine from the fictitious Road Traffic Accident Department. More drivel, if you ask me! It's absolutely infuriating that these ridiculous companies think they can treat us like this. I genuinely worry for those who may be vulnerable and fall prey to their underhanded tactics. Just to follow up on my earlier message regarding that dodgy car accident scam, it turns out the address linked to them is actually a 'virtual office.' You know, the kind where you rent the address and they handle your mail by forwarding it or scanning it to you? The caller in question was from Action Claims Bureau.
