I just got a call from the HM Revenue and Customs, urging me to return their call. They mentioned something about possible tax fraud and that failure to respond could lead to my arrest! I’m feeling quite anxious; it all seems suspect to me. The call came through at 12:32 on Friday, the 16th of August, 2019.

I received a call from this number claiming to be connected to a fraudulent HMRC matter.

I received a rather dubious call from a number that claimed I ought to contact HMRC regarding an alleged fraud case involving me. Quite puzzling, really, considering I've never heard a peep from HMRC, nor is there any fraud to speak of in my name. Sounds like a classic scam to me!
