Just like everyone else, I got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, accusing me of tax fraud and telling me to press 1. Totally false! Didn't fall for it. Caller said it was HMRC.

Got a robo call claiming I was involved in tax fraud and to press one or else they would arrest me. Sounded dodgy right away, so I just blocked the number. Definitely seems like a scam. The caller said it was from Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise.

Got a call claiming I was involved in tax fraud and to press "1". I did press "1" and after a good 3 minutes someone answered. I told them they’d dialled me by mistake, and he said he’d look into why they called before hanging up on me. The number was 0300 200 8782.

I got a call from 0300 200 4209, they said it was HMRC, threatening me about tax fraud and told me to press "1" or I'd be arrested. It was an automated voice, sounded pretty aggressive too.
