I just received a call from what purported to be HMRC, claiming that someone had been committing tax fraud using my identity. They insisted that if I didn’t press 1 to connect with them, the police would soon be on my doorstep to arrest me. I must admit, the suspense is quite entertaining!

Just received an automated call claiming to be from HMRC, insisting I was in tax arrears and urging me to press 1 for assistance. They even threatened that if I didn’t comply, a warrant would be issued for my arrest imminently! I chose to ignore it and am now rather looking forward to being apprehended-anything to escape the drudgery of housework!
