I just received a call from what purported to be HMRC, claiming that someone had been committing tax fraud using my identity. They insisted that if I didn’t press 1 to connect with them, the police would soon be on my doorstep to arrest me. I must admit, the suspense is quite entertaining!

I chose to ignore it and am now rather looking forward to being apprehended-anything to escape the drudgery of housework!
