Got a ring from someone saying they were HMRC, told me there’s a dodgy transaction on my account and to hit 1 to sort it out, but as soon as I did, the line just cut off.

I got a phone call earlier from someone saying they were from the tax office and that there was an arrest warrant out for me. They told me to press 1, but I didn’t do it. Right after that, the line just dropped. Sounds like one of those common scams you hear about.

Its a total rip off, dont hand over any details... Just tell em to jog on and block their number asap...
