I received a call from someone who asked for my date of birth but seemed utterly clueless about the reason for their call. They mentioned I would discover the purpose of their call when the police arrived to see me, then abruptly ended the conversation. Quite bizarre, if you ask me!

Received a rather dodgy call purporting to be from the tax office, alleging that my identity had been misused for a claim. The whole thing was quite alarming, suggesting I'd face arrest if I didn't press 1. Naturally, I wasn't having any of it-told them where to go and promptly ended the call!

I got a call from this number purporting to be the HMRC through some automated system. They said there was a warrant out against me and urged me to press 1 to speak with someone. It’s clearly a scam! Best not to engage with this number at all. The voice had a slight American or Canadian twang to it. Be cautious!
