Got a voicemail claiming I’m being investigated for tax fraud. Had the same call before, and I’m pretty sure it’s a con because the tax office wouldn’t leave a recorded message like that. Just a heads up to anyone else getting calls like this - watch out, it’s dodgy!

Got a voicemail warning me about some fake claim I supposedly made and threatening arrest unless I hit 1. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Somebody called me saying there was a tax scam using my details and that if I didn’t press 1, I’d get arrested. I pressed 1, and this bloke said he was from HMRC and that I had made a dodgy claim. He then asked how I was, and when I told him I was annoyed about the arrest warning, he just hung up on me.
