Today, on Monday 16th December 2019 around 11:31, I recived a call from 0300 200 3785. I didn’t recognise the number so I looked it up on this site. Happy I did, because it turns out it’s a risky phishing scam. I’d strongly advise against picking up if you get a call from this number - it’s definitely unsafe.

Had a call from some dodgy recorded voice saying I got a warrant from hmre. Total rubbish, cos HMRC always just send letters, they never ring you up. Definitely a scam.

They called up out of nowhere saying there’s some case against me or something like that. Totally caught me off guard.

Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, threatening arrest if I didn’t press 1 to keep talking, claiming it was about some fraud case. Turned out to be a con, since HMRC always sends letters, never calls. I also looked up the number elsewhere and found out it’s linked to Robson Way, some debt collectors chasing money I don’t owe. Total scam.

Received a call earlier saying I’m about to be arrested for tax evasion, which really freaked me out. Someone like me, who deals with bad anxiety, it was awful. Glad I found these comments, now I can tell for sure it’s just a scam. Cheers to everyone sharing their stories!
