It’s mad how recent all these comments are. I got a call just this morning from a number like that, saying they were HMRC and threatening arrest. Then they put me through to some call centre but honestly, it was all just nonsense. I ended the call but they’ve rung me twice more since then, and even got a call yesterday. I told him my name but wouldn’t share any other info unless he gave me some proof. He got really rude and told me to shut up before hanging up. Honestly, what a nasty scam and downright awful bloke. Don’t pick up or just block this number. If the police really wanted you, they’d show up at your door, not make creepy calls.

Got a call from 03002003688, they started going on about taxes and threats of arrest, telling me to 'press 1 to talk to an operator'. So I hit 1, and some Asian lady came on asking for my name. I told her I wouldn’t share it because of GDPR rules. She just hung up right there - proper cheeky. This is definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

I hit 1 and some bloke with an accent, probably working in some call centre, started telling me I’d been involved in fraud and that the police were on their way to arrest me. Then he asked for my name and address. I asked how he could be sure I was being arrested if he didn’t even know who I was. He then lost his temper, swearing and telling me to just wait for the cops to show up and deal with me, before hanging up. Charming, right? Haha.
