I just got a robocall claiming there’s a fraud case with HMRC under my name. The automated voice said if I don't press 1 to speak to an officer, I’ll be arrested soon. Total scam! Don’t ever press anything - just end the call right away!

I’d say don’t even bother pressing any buttons, just end the call as soon as it rings. And if you did happen to hit any options, make sure you block the number immediately.

I was so shocked when they said I owed £2,800 to HMRC, I honestly nearly had a heart attack thinking it was legit.

Got this dodgy call the other day from some bloke pretending to be HMRC. It was one of those robot voices telling me I’d been caught up in some fraud and that if I didn’t hit option one, I’d be nicked soon. I just stayed quiet and they cut me off straight away. Total scam.
