Got a call claiming to be from HMRC, said they’d send a warrant to arrest me if I didn't hit one on the keypad. Total scam, I reckon.

I got a call from someone claiming they worked for the government, and they warned me I'd be arrested if I didn't hit 1.

So, this number just rang me up and said I’ve got some sort of warrant for my arrest, asking me to press one. I went ahead and pressed it, but then the call dropped after a few minutes. Can’t be legit, right?

I received a rather peculiar call on my mobile while I was out taking my dogs for a stroll. The voice on the end of the line claimed to be from HMRC, though it was clearly a pre-recorded message rather than an actual person. They made some alarming statements about a supposed fraudulent claim against my taxes and urged me to press '1' to avoid a warrant being issued for my arrest. Naturally, I didn't entertain the idea and simply ended the call. Coincidentally, I had just received my tax bill the day before and intended to settle it later today, following the call. Given that an accountant manages my records, I felt confident that their claims were nothing more than a ruse.

Got a call from this number and some robotic voice claimed to be from HMRC saying there was a warrant out for me. They insisted I press 1 right away or I'd soon be arrested. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call saying if I didn't press 1, I'd get arrested. Really freaked me out! I tried calling the number back but it just said service not available or something like that. Wonder if they've grabbed my phone info or not? Feels a bit dodgy to me.

Got a voicemail from them - some automated warning about me being charged with fraud and that the police are coming to get me soon. Didn't press any buttons or ring them back. Just blocked their number straight away.

Totally a con! They claim to be from HMRC and say there's a warrant out to arrest you. Complete rubbish.

I picked up but didn’t say a word. The call was ended by them after about four seconds.

Got a call earlier from someone pretending to be from HMRC, said I'd be arrested if I don't respond. Definitely a scammer trying to scare me.

Got a call saying there’s a fraud issue linked to me and to press 1 to speak to an officer, blah blah... What a load of nonsense. Proper HMRC wouldn’t just ring you up out of the blue; they’d either show up at your door or send a letter through the post, no way they’d call first 😂 Caller ID showed 0300 200 3640.
